The economy is just a fucking scam on every level. From nationwide to local. My town decided not to fix up the most popular park that was aging because "it's sadly not possible within our budget" and they demolished and paved over it. Six months later they suddenly have the money to restore a 1800's mansion that the town mayor just "coincidentally" happens to partially own...That's how the economy is everywhere. Almost all of it goes into the pockets of the people in power. A few crumbs actually do some good and that's only to hide the fact they are just thieves.
