I graduated 2015 with 60,000 debt. I paid about $200 a month until Covid. For a couple years nothing then I went on the SAVE plan and was paying like $25 a month until they decided the SAVE plan was illegal. Now everyone on the SAVE plan is in foreberance until the courts clear out the lawsuits. I pay nothing currently. I make over 100k a year I hope to never pay off these loans or hopefully inflation outraced interest and the debt drifts away like an empty bag in the wind.
I only have $27,000 in loans. The largest is less than 4%. It makes more sense to me to pump VTSAX and let my credit score climb.
