I did about 4 months ago, and it's been soaring faster than most of my shares ever since. They're going to help me move out to my own place at this pace. I'm actually happy despite my miserable way of being and seeing the world.

how do people decide for no reason to start buying gold suddenly? why they did not start 5 years ago or 10?
>>
>>519362332
In many countries gold ownership is discouraged. In Anglo America we are blasted with propaganda telling us to just buy index funds.

>>
>>519362332
we all gotta start at some point. its something a lot of us have heard about for years but never dared get into. i heard about it back in about 2002 for the first time but sadly didn't put any money into it until 2020
>>
>>519362949
but how is this possible when gold is much more expensive today, i don't think any zoomers even know what gold is they all buy cryptos
>>
>>519363106
can't throw money into PMs without a job or inheritance, been there. What little my dad left me I threw into Silver, hope he's proud up there.
>>
>>519363349
Gold was cheaper but i had more immediate expenses. Now that my home life is established and i have extra income to save and spend i can start buying gold in smaller denominations or invest in a couple oz. I remember struggling at 2k oz to take the expense.

sure, you need to have some cash just laying around really, at least thats how i looked at it. looking back i should have put a bit more into it on a regular basis, even just a few oz of silver here and there every month or something. at the very least you've protected what your dad left instead of blowing it on something ephemeral and anyone would be happy about that.

guys, you're idiots. Stop buying gold if you have a lot of it. Buy equipment. Gold is a currency, but you need production, so you also need to buy equipment. Buy a sewing machine or something like that, preferably a manual one without electricity.

Machinery, tools, equipment and properties are also a way to store money and even use them in the future to produce capital.
Perhaps buy a pile of tires, they effectively last forever and everybody needs them though you may have to sell them for cheaper tho.
Tools and machinery are things you buy because you plan to use them to work with. Some jobs will still be in demand during the collapse.

Gold was confiscated once when we had a gold standard and the government had massively overspent on WWI. We are at least 50 years away from a situation like that, if EVER because the people have lost trust in the concept of central banking and it will be 500 years before they can be tricked into it again.
Also, they never confiscated it from individuals. They only took it from banks and "safe" deposit boxes.
>>
>>519366970
They won't buy because the refineries can't risk taking it due to extreme lease rates. Sell to individuals if you want to sell it. You'll get a better price anyways. Just need a little patience. If you are impatient you can give a discount on it.

Canada is not collapsing any time soon. The worst that’ll happen is we have a sovereign debt crisis from either provincial debt (Ontario probably) or a mortgage crisis caused by the housing bubble popping. Then federal bailouts, USD-CAD decouples further, and gold and silver moon compared to current prices.

I’m not anticipating Canada will collapse in the next 20+ years.

Once you get good at identifying gold and silver you’ll notice homeless people with heavy silver chains about once a week and you can toss out offers.

Whats funny is where i live homeless people trade around silver for cigarettes and often have giant silver chains from when silver was only a buck a gram and even 5 years ago nobody wanted it.

But i think if silver doubles from where it currently is you’ll never see homeless people with silver jewelry anymore.

I don't have money for precious metals...

I do know the economy is collapsing though. For example, my girlfriend's country of Peru, its currency has increased from like 0.27 USD to Sol to now almost 0.3 USD to sol. This isn't isolated either as I have looked at numerous fly-over countries with stable economies, and they are all surging too.

I see this whole gold price prop and FOMO panic as play to make npc cattle buy gold now, so they can drop the price by few hundred usd. Just like in 2021-2023.
Point?
npc cattle loses faith in gold as it can also be manipulated, so they go with promised stable coin of digital bank cash.

bruh, there are literal Cash4Gold vendors close to every major trainstation in germany.
There are areas where those shops are as common as fucking Dönerläden. And if you're paying a bit extra, they don't give a fuck about ID and recording the transaction or anything, just walk in, put the gold coin on the table, and walk out with cash in hand maybe 10-15ish % below current market rate if you don't want anyone including the government knowing about the transaction.

Maples have some of the lowest premiums.
If you want to buy a 1oz coin, and you just want to pay as close to the value of the raw silver as possible, you buy the cheapest 1oz coin, which are often the Canadian ones.

If you're into memes you might spend nearly twice as much to get it with a particular design, which is your choice, but I personally buy British coins because they have the most intricate designs, wouldn't be worthwhile counterfeiting those when US, Austrian and Armenian coins have less intricate designs.

Gold maples are ultra pure .9999 gold which produces a more subdued ping than alloy based coins like gold eagles. This is just proof that ping tests are bullshit. I’d rather have pure gold than an alloy because you’re trusting that the full ounce is actually in the coin.

precious metals dont really move based on fomo and fud though gold has always been a hedge against inflation, the global economy is in ruins and everything is getting more and more expensive year over year i bet if you compare the gold percentage increases to groceries around the same time period its about the same. silver is only moving a lot because its in high demand at the moment and its kinda too expensive to mine once the price increases more more will be mined and th4e price will stop rising for a while
>>
>>519390284

When the wall fell Jews were raping Russia financially, Putin got in office and told the kikes we can all make money but no harming mother Russia , the ones that didn’t listen are dead or were expelled.
Unlike the US and west Putin runs Russia, not the kikes. It’s why the war still rages on , Jews plan was to wear Russia down with a 20 year war divide it up into 5 smaller states and extract all the wealth from them. Russia is the richest country in the world by far for natural resources.
Ukraine was / is also to become new / big Israel.

Expect silver to double again ( gold too) , at least.
I’m guessing $120 in the next year and $250 in the next few years.
The dollar will also start losing value quicker and quicker , so metals are serving two purposes, one we’re getting a revaluation based on them being under valued for decades ( artificially for silver ) and a hedge against inflation and actual fiat total collapse. Gold and silver will always be money , always.

ok, but if 20g is used on every panel (about 8g/sqm) x millions of pannels that is millions of ounces. Probably the most massive industrial use. Nevertheless, there is a scare away from cash and is big players doing it, and paper gold/silver asking for delivery. Maybe cash will get phased out, EU fags always talk about it. In Uk your jewbank made obsolete billions of "old" 20 pound notes, had a stack of them, crispy new, from a while ago. its always super expensive to but it that way. if an ounce is, say, $4000 in a 1 ounce coin, an ounce at the rate you pay for the 1/10ths makes maybe $5000 an ounce. i know what you're saying about the upfront cost, but might as well save the ounce coin.

with the way gold has been over the last couple of years youre probably better off buying a 1/10oz if you can afford it them premium is normally around 10-15% on them but gold moves so fast that youd already be in profit by the time you had money to pay for a full ounce. you can sometimes find deals on them with lower premiums and also if you sell directly to people instead of a metal shop you can normally sell to them with the premium also when you want to offload it i buy lots of silver and gold from a forum and even used people include premiums on smaller coins in most cases

Nope. Was 300 pounds at the post office with a passport, once. Some exchanged in select bank accounts (which obviously I did nto had) but mostly, direct exchange at central bank. I even wrote them. So flight + at least one night accomodation + flight back would put me in the area I preferred to sell them to some muzzie exchange here at a way below official rate. Is obvious they have the network all set up to exchange them in UK at spot price.

Been holding 20 ounces of silver in my gun closet for 10 years now, I'm glad I'll finally be able to sell it for a good profit. The cash is gonna cover all my Christmas shopping this year. Thank you Silver!

>>519398197
sure but for a lot of people buying something smaller when they can is a lot easier than saving money
>>519398220

what is it with euros telling Americans to stack ammo like we weren't already all doing that?
if I was in Romania I'd be stacking turnips because I assume your whole economy is one guy with a mule cart full of turnips
>>519398474
but will it go up past this to a point where I can make back the dealer cut anytime soon?
>>
>>519397858
You used to be able to
You can’t even go into a bank in the US and ask for all your money in cash anymore , really any over 10,000 dollars they question you , you have to fill out special forms now , ask you what you want it for and usually inform that they have to order the cash and it will be two weeks and we will call you ( which they never do lol). Obviously fractional banking never has / can have all depositors money on hand , but it’s more than that , they want cashed phased out for the planned CBDC and they want complete control of chase in case they do “bail ins” where instead of the federal government covering bank loses , banks will take depositors money to cover their losses under the guise of “ your savings and checking accounts are an investment in the bank and subject to loss it the bank becomes insolvent”.

>>519398729
>your whole economy is one guy with a mule cart full of turnips
buying 8 billion worth of your worthless military shit requires that cart.

Gold was never confiscated from people directly. What happened was:
>all banks closed
>never to be reopened
>their vaults confiscated
>their safety deposit boxes raided
Ultimately the gold “confiscation” was in reality the largest bank heist in history. Today there arent really any vaults to raid as all the vaults are already under their control.

Question for goldfags:
How do you sell the physical gold when you want to cash out? Lets say it goes to like $10,000 or something. Will people really be willing to buy that?

The maples are the prettiest gold coins.
Yeh it’s better to buy larger amounts , but imagine an injin saving $100 dollars a week he’s going to buy fractional gold or silver just so he can’t get something as it goes up.

because it was a planned collapse, gold won't save us from what is coming.

not really when they will be in profit within a few months, is basically the same as buying silver here we have to pay 20% tax on it its not tax free like gold is. you take the intial hit because the price is going to move and its a better option than keeping your wealth in fiat

Lmao take a look outside. Canada has already collapsed:
>infinity jeets
>housing bubble only sustainable with ever increasing mass immigration
>your healthcare system is actively trying to kill people (maid)
>no reserves beyond us treasuries
On and on. Canada is done.

>not really when they will be in profit within a few months,
but thats not how it goes usually. this is very unusual. it really doesn't matter to me but paying that much more per oz seems like a fairly silly thing to do. the point isn't making these big gains we see recently, its just to store some wealth over time, so it doesnt really matter when you buy as such....well, so long as its not on a big spike like now.

No, Canada has a lot left in it before it truly dies. Our institutions are only in collapse but not totally collapsed.

As we speak Canada port our 150 year old crown corporation in charge of mail delivery is collapsing.

Soon it will be some other institution looted and discarded like a used condom.

>>
>>519397848
Inflation/deflation are ratios, of the total number of goods and the total currency available. So inflation is either creating more money then goods, or destroying more goods than money; whereas, deflation is either destroying more money than goods, or creating more goods than money.

This is why technology improvements are inherently deflationary, and why the amount of wealth stolen is much higher than most think.

What is your metal going to buy you if the system collapses ? Pretty sure your stocks of wealth in any ammount is useless unless your hoarding tonnes of food and water any currency is useless other then items for trade. Your better to stock up on toilet paper and canned goods then a lump of gold to stare at since it literally has zero value outside of a structured society

"Hey farmer Bob I'll trade you 10lbs of gold for a sack of potatoes"

Sure thing I'll just haord useless metal...hehue
