Europol apprehends 33 Russians operating a prepaid phoneSIM bot farm

They stormed an "abandoned" industrial building in Latvia yesterday.
What they found was a large Russian telephone bot farm.
But they arent making calls.

Isntead they use prepaid Finnish/Latvian SIM cards which contain 5 days of unlimited internet usage.
They would use that internet data in Latvia for nefarious purposes.

They posted messages to internet using a VPN:
1) US. Virgin Islands
2) Belarus

But actual location was Latvia.

Trivia:
-26 home searches (in Latvia)
-5 people apprehended by police, rest of them were let go since they didnt know they were doing something illegal
-100 000 confiscated SIM cards, many of them yet unused (SIM 5 day countdown begins at first use and thye are good up to year 2028 if unused)
-a www page apesimulator dot com was closed
