Yes I'm a non Indian and have read the Mahabharata and Ramayana. I always remember the promise the sun god gave Manu(Indian Noah ark). He said the world will always return to India for it's spiritual needs because it was there that the sun god transmitted the Vedas and Dharma(laws) to men.
