After watch the recent tucker carlson interview with Dr. Andrew Huff something clicked with me. He was discussing the development of synthetic single cell self replicating nano technology that was developed in the last 3 years. (possibly earlier imo) He mentioned how this could be programed to have specific non-organic effects and be used benevolently as medicine or be weaponized. We've all heard about the MRNA vaccines causing cancer, and possibly sterilization, possibly being 'self replicating spike proteins' that can spread like a virus.

Something hit me though. around 2019 or so when the "covid" videos were coming out of china and all the talk of it spreading was going on, I saw the first Joro spider I'd ever seen at my mother's house while visiting one day. Huge colorful spider that looked like it had the face of a skull on the underside of it's abdomen. I looked it up and found out it was an invasive species of spider that allegedly had arrived from China a few years prior.

I thought then, and in the following years, after seeing a few more of them, how bad of an impact they could have on our ecology. They're massive spiders that are social, and will gather together in the same web. They don't care if they build near other spiders, and will take over their territory. Their webs are huge, and not just one dimensional planes like most spiders. It looks like they build a main 1 dimensional web and then build a sort of 3d diamond structure around it with all kind of long guy lines extending out in different directions. The webs are strong enough to tangle up small birds. Fastforward to this year and now the things are literally everywhere. So of course if they're outcompeting our native arachnids with nothing to check them and breeding on such a scale they're going to pose a problem eventually right?
>>
Fastforward to this year and the damn things are everywhere. It's insane! One odd thing is how biologists all seem to have been saying that the spiders are harmless both to people and our ecosystem. Even saying the spiders are beneficial and that people should not kill them.

Well now suddenly they're developing solutions to try to control their population. one such solution is being developed using a Wolbachia bacteria, which can cause the spiders to become infertile. I would not doubt that they plan to create some kind of nano tech engineered Wolbachia bacteria or something with the same effect that can target these spiders effectively. I would not be surprised if suddenly after it's released it turns out it can infect humans too.

typical Problem, reaction, solution. It's so under the radar too. Instead of a mass televised pandemic and forcing inoculation campaign.

What do you think? Do any of you have these fucking spiders around you place?

Why is every fucking invasive species from China?
>>
>>519418310
they';re going to spread a bacteria that renders these spiders infertile. similar to the one that they've used on mosquitos.

i think it's going to infect humans.

how's that?

What rational person would stand against sterilizing most of the "human" population?

Yes, and typically they introduce another species to control them, I'd recommend boosting a native species, prolly raccoons would eat them, or opossums?

The European invasive species arrived to Americas hundreds of years ago and are considered native now.
Here in Europe we sometimes receive American invasive species though

another weird thing about these spiders is that they can change gender. the males can become females, and get impregnated.

>What do you think? Do any of you have these fucking spiders around you place?
Why go to the trouble of a new "invasive species" to do this.....why not just use ticks (like they've already done), and/or fleas?
>>
>>519419000
Wolbachia is a bacterium used as a biological countermeasure against the fictional vocal cord parasites. These parasites, engineered by the character Skull Face, infect a host's vocal cords and can spread through speech, with different strains targeting specific languages.
The Wolbachia bacteria, when introduced into the parasites, causes them to change from males to females, halting their reproduction and preventing the onset of symptoms that would otherwise kill the host.
This treatment was developed by the character Code Talker, who discovered that infecting the parasites with Wolbachia rendered them sterile, effectively stopping the spread of the infection.

Because ticks and fleas are already seen as a bad thing due to their smaller size and net negative impact of biting humans and pets. They're a pest and otherwise serve no benefit.
We tend to see spiders as less of a threat, especially if they don't hurt us, and remove other pests. So higher chance we let them live and explode in population. Especially if they do cool things like create 3D shaped nests. Our brains like that, it's novel.
>>
>>519419249
i mean you have a point. but you don't really see ticks and fleas outside from everywhere you go. they don't block your path, and they don't pose a risk to the ecosystem as these spiders can kill birds, and displace other native arachnids, possibly causing issues through the food chain.

that's just how i'm looking at it.

i mean, i might get a tick on me if i'm down in the woods all day. But i'll see 200 of these fucking things in that same time hanging all over the place. even though they're docile and relatively harmless i get the feeling more people would be inclined to raise a fuss and want them eradicated simply because they're such a nuisance.
>>
>>519418293
I found a first specimen of female Argiope Aurantia in my garden during this summer. AFAIK these weren't commonly present in Europe before.
I have a photo, but it is very shaky for some reason.
>>
>>519419323
ok that is really weird given the parallels. it's odd to me aswell given the underside of their abdomen resembles a skeletal face, more so on some spiders than others.

the spiders are subject to the bacteria's effects, but i don't know if they're subject to the bacteria it's self without any modifications.

>“The bacterium creates reproductive barriers. If an infected male mates with an uninfected female, she becomes sterilized. If both are infected, they can reproduce, and only females can pass the bacterium along.”

i thought i read somewhere about these things being able to change from male to female. but it didn't really make sense to me cause the females are so huge and the males tiny.
>>
Well then we better do something about this then what could we create to combat these weapons of war? Do we create larger spiders with fangs to airdrop on them well no they would just stir fry them see this is gona get bad hmmm maybe small micro nanotechnology monkeys that hunt just these spiders maybe smaller nanotechnology drones

each one lays ~5 egg sacs and each sac will have 400-1500 eggs. there are literally thousands of them here in the woods. some of them are in webs 50 ft or more up in the trees. i'm sure they are even higher in places i can't see beyond foliage.

i don't think it would be possible.
>>
>>519419915
Hmm interesting. Maybe they are small enough to travel on high winds
>>
>>519421013
they are, the males are quite small and they will sail around on threads of webbing. i suppose the adolescent females could do it too. i'm not too sure.
>>
>>519417925
My first introduction to this sort of thing was with the old Sterile male mosquito stick. I strikes me that since there is no reason this would work on humans if targeted at us then there must be some interest in the idea of using bio weapons like this to destroy rival groups. Something like a bacteria that could get out of hand however seems to be a practically hysterically bad idea. so naturally they'll do it.

Seen my first Joro here in Florida. They're Japanese spiders, not Chinese. You should be more mad about the chinks smuggling a tree sapling which came with a bug carrying a citrus disease called hong ling bong or something stupid. Crippled the orange juice industry over the last 20 years. Trees went from living and producing up to 50 years to maybe making it 5.
Fuck China.

it's the same bacteria that they've used on mosquitos. i'm not sure if the bacteria has to be modified for them to have an effect, or not, i see conflicting things.

something about the last 10-15 minutes of that interview immediately made me think about this though. we know about the sterilization possibilities from the mrna jab. it just seems like these is some kind of overlap here. even if just a cover story. i don't know, something about it just seems off.
it's like they let them get out of hand, even encouraged it at first saying the spiders were beneficial and not to kill them.

now they want to use a bacteria to sterilize them.
>>
>>519421236
these are pretty distinct. i only really began to notice them where i live 3 years ago? and every year they have gotten way more prolific.

orb weavers only make 1 dimensional webs.
these things are pretty obvious their webs almost look like cocoons and they're fluorescent colors with slick chitin and pointed legs
>>
>>519421236
This, orb spiders are bros. They just chill in your garden and (here at least) kill and eat a lot of nasty shit
>>
>>519421380
no i heard about them as well, and the emerald ash beetle, which they've given up on trying to contain.

they've just resigned to the fact that all the ash trees will die off. it's sad because they are beautiful twisty trees with interesting silhouettes and beautiful red fall colors.

it's just that this particular spider is subject to the effects of Wolbachia bacteria. i just get the feeling they're going to administer some genetically altered version of it ( or a totall synthetic nano tech variety) and it's going to end up being something that effects humans or other animals.
>>
>>519420978
Nigger, walk your fucking land and spray them! I haven't seen them higher than 20 or so feet on my farm, and it's easy to blast them with the sprayer.
>>
>>519422097
they'll just wonder over from the neighboring 1,000+ acres of forest.

either way my thread isn't about how can i get rid of these? it's about what the possible negative ramifications of using Wolbachia bacteria to control them could be and how it would even be administered.

it's not my plan it's something being studied right now and probably to be implemented soon.

China has a lot of cold areas, unfortuneatly the chink menace has many species that can fuck up your ecosystem. The issue in the modern world is invasive species basically take over quickly and cant be culled. They become apart of the environment eventually and are too deep into it to make them go away. Only way to deal with Joro spiders is bring something that hunts them. Or luck out and something here can kill them. They are a massive issue and they need to be genocided from the US. China has done so much environmental damage to the US it should be an act of war all by itself.

Look up "TREE OF HEAVEN". It's also from china, and they spring up everywhere in all 50 states now, they grow fast, compete with native tree species for light and eventually end up killing all native trees around it. an absolute nightmare to get rid of too. You chop it down and it grows right back. you have to remove the root ball and the roots which sometimes shoot down 4 or 5 feet in to the earth. Some of this feels like an act of war. Like these invasive species are brought here to cause us headaches and transform our natural habitat by making it unrecognizeable..

No one really cares about invasive spiders. They don't even call any spiders invasive, they just call them non-native. Noble false widows are a spider from Europe that is infesting the entire west coast of USA and no one seems to care. Badumnas are an Australian spider that I see all the time now too. No one seems to care about them either. I think they (environmental scientists, the government, etc) mainly only worry if it's a agricultural pest or stuff like Chinese mussels that will fuck up water infrastructure. They also keep finding common snappers and alligator snappers around California and no one really cares. There's a lake in Santa Rosa with multiple alligator snappers in it and they're not even making any effort to catch them and get them out of there. Every little pond near my house even has multiple different non-native turtles it but not snappers.
