Currency printing.
The reason why any price goes up is currency printing

This. The value of the gold isn't rising, but the worth of the currency to buy it is plummeting.

Okay niggers let's ask the same question but in a way you might have an actual answer for.
What's causing all the sudden fall in fiat value?
>>
>>519437315
during corona the reserve requirement for banks was set to 0% so massive printing ensued, we are just now feeling the after effects
>>
Raise the value of gold and devalue cryptocurrency. Now use the greater value of gold to buy the devalued cryptocurrency.
>>
>>519436256
Money is losing value due to inflation, which is largely if not entirely caused by money printing.
This printing will not stop at any foreseeable point in the future.
People are losing faith in the system because of this, and are moving wealth into assets that hold that value and are low risk, instead of keeping it in paper or even things like stocks.
This is an indicator of where we are in a civilizational cycle, and it's the the "things are getting better" side of it
>>
>>519436464
they didn't just start printing currency like gangbusters again, so clearly the correlation is weak.

Theyre always printing currency. The inflation can be directed into whatever sector, like real estate or crypto and all other avenues have been exhausted and now its time for metals - which is undesirable because it PROVES that fiat is worthless while when housing or crypto prices rise, this is seen as normal and expected

Central banks selling off their currency reserves (mainly USD and EUR) to buy Gold.
Mainly driven by China, Russia, other BRICS, main players trying to counter it are US, UK, maybe Europe.
Why?
Volatility in Gold price as we have right now make the system seem insecure. All the rating agencies work in favour of the USD or directly profit when it is high-value around the world, basically the entire Bretton-Woods international trade system is built upon it.

Inflation IS money printing. That's the original definition which got coopted to mean "price hikes".
>>
>>519438432
Yep also related.
>>
>>519436332
Based. It's the dollar and other fiat currencies that are collapsing. Bad economic outlook with a world splitting in two (Israel cattle vs the rest of the world) and a lot of risks. Rich people/countries want to freeze some of their wealth rather than investing it.
>>
>>519436256
Increase in Gold > inflation
Gold might be more valuable because of demand.

Most 'money' in circulation is made in a bank.
M2 money supply, google it.
Credit made in banks is done without reserves. Banks use double entry bookkeeping (an asset on one set of books is a liability on another) to issue credit.

See princess of the yen on youtube or read the book. Bank of England even released a document explaining modern banking years ago

Yeah the bank of England isnt going to be a good source is it dickhead.
They're going to downplay the role that money printing has to its purchasing power.

ONLY central banks create currency. High street banks borrow FROM the central bank sure, but the central bank is the one printing the currency
>>
>>519436256
it's a giant meme and posturing people investors have been expecting a massive market correction for a while now and with all their money pulled out they decided gold would be a good bet until it does correct
>>

Yen got fucked last week too. I guess that's on brand this since we just use the Jap economy as a our economic glory hole. Poor fuckers
>>
>>519438432
It is a USD offramp created by the banker Jews and DARPA
>>
>>519436256
>Sudden
It's not sudden it started in 2022 when the US and EU stole Russia's USD reserves which led to central banks buying gold over the USD(central banks now have more gold than USD for the first time in 30 years) coupled with inflation(Past and present The Fed is abandoning the 2% target) and geopolitical uncertainty this has created the perfect conditions for golds current assent and all three of these conditions aren't going anywhere so gold has room to further increase The Fed will cut rates on the 29th October and again in December which will further devalue the dollar and boost gold this year
