I've got plenty of guns, and while I appreciate the craftsmanship needed to make a really smooth revolver, I'm not a revolver guy. I'm not sure if I'm a 1911 guy, honestly I can't really afford the entry cost to find out. But I will say: Right now the entry cost to get your first AR rifle is around $350 (which is fucking NUTS, by the way) or solid 9mm pistol is $300 or even less. Go PSA, uppers are $150, lowers are $99, chip in a few bucks for a mil-spec BCG and you can probably go down to your local range and just ask for an A2 charging handle and they'll hand you a box of them. Few bucks for transfer fee, and start stacking ammo. If you make ok disposable income, you could buy a case of ammo a month. If you've got $100 spare per month, that's a case of 1000 5.56 every 4 months, or 1000 9mm every two.
