They already killed foodstamp/snap. There is nothing left the billionaires can rob from the poor.

So you will have to keep making debts so billionaires can get richer.

It’s just a means to build a Orwellian kike controlled government to stop normies from unfucking society when they learn of the kike and because the boomer is dying the kike is frantically trying to force revisions to the constitution. To stop the west from completely abandoning Israel.

You’ll notice that freemason theatre requires you to believe that the two party system is actually two parties. But you’ll notice that both sides justify each others authoritative actions that are never rescinded and constantly affirm one another’s eventual goals. The cult uses traumatic events to synthesize what they want out of the reaction by inducing artificial events or heavily engineering ones into reality.
I E, invading the Middle East so many times that the thought of Arabs flying planes into the towers is somehow expected and excuses all the coincidences immediately present with the narrative as the government immediately uses it in uniform to justify sweeping resolutions that infringe on your rights under the guise of national security.

You will see this pattern repeated throughout history. These people use the culture wars as a means of steering society back into their dialectic by having people fight over pointless bullshit that can be reverted in the stroke of a pen, and the social shaming of it.

Welcome to satanic subtlety. You absolutely love the fake and gay this will eventually end up producing.

They spent a couple months giddily firing people, closing entire departments, and gutting American research. DOGE’s most optimistic estimates are that they “saved” a hundred billion dollars, but this completely ignores the damage these actions caused and is basically irrelevant compared to the ~$3 trillion that the BBB will add to the debt.

More like: Elon went in thinking there'd be a ton of fat to trim, and it turned out a lot of the stuff he cut was actually doing something useful and he had to put it back. Which obviously made DOGE look like a bunch of fucking idiots (which they were).

It's ironic that conservatives' go-to justification for their beliefs is Chesterton's fence (don't remove a fence unless you know why it was put there), yet when given any amount of power they'd run roughshod over every established convention of governance without a second thought.

Really it comes down to the fact that the people who got into power with Trump are the kind of morons who actually believe conservative propaganda. Dick Cheney, Newt Gingrich, they knew they were full of shit and their 'ideology' of small government was just an excuse to let their rich buddies dodge taxes and practise vulture capitalism. But the people who are in power now are the idiots that that kind of old Republican aimed their propaganda at.

So yeah, they waltz into the government thinking that all America's problems are because the Democrats are throwing hundreds of billions at supporting feminist theatre and funding Shaniqua's seventeen welfare babies and running studies on Bolivian tree frogs, and they could just cut all that useless woke crap and the government would be solvent again. Except it turns out - oops - that none of that is true and they don't even understand what each department does, much less how to make them more efficient at doing it.

The two biggest areas of US government spending are and always have been the military and Social Security. You know what the Republicans are ideologically incapable of cutting? The military. You know what the Republicans' geriatric voters rely on? Social Security.

So yeah. No cuts, or no meaningful ones at least. But of course, that's not going to stop them from giving even more tax breaks to the rich, so... well, that's how you end up with $38 trillion in debt.
>>
>>519776675
If America stops paying its debts, even to itself, then the value of the dollar will collapse even further.

And the only thing keeping America's economic head above water is the fact that the dollar is the global reserve currency. Once that ends, America's economy is Zimbabwe-level fucked.

Everyone in government has been ducking the question of how badly this is going to fuck over American research in the long term. You’ve got entire labs and agencies that have had to fire most of their staff or cancel projects or shut down operations because DOGE came in and kicked ass without understanding anything about what they were doing or what would happen if they were fired/cancelled/etc. And while DOGE has backpedaled on a lot of that, the reality is that none of these programs/agencies/school collaborations/etc. can just be spun back up in an instant. Cuts to research grants that support graduate students will affect the next two or three cycles of graduate admissions even if the grants are restored tomorrow, shutdowns of long-term research projects will delay results by years even if funding is restored immediately, people who were fired may take years to replace. You can’t derail a train and then expect it to get instantly back up to speed just because you put it back on the tracks.
>>
>>519777902
>America's economy is Zimbabwe-level fucked.
You have no comprehension of anything. You sound like a hysterical child. Really, America is going to be the next Zimbabwe? Yeah the government hires contractors because the gov employees are just so good at their jobs and way too valuable to waste their time doing real work when they could be watching loud porn in their office while being unfireable (actually happened to a guy I know in AFRL) YOURE ABSOLUTELY RETARDED IF YOU THINK GOV EMPLOYEES ARE EFFECIENT.

great plebbit blog, faggot
>>
>>519779013
Exactly.

It's a conservative conceit that Big Government doesn't actually do anything, but actually a huge amount of scientific research is funded by the Feds. Part of the reason America's tech sector is so successful is because they have access to stuff that started out in DARPA labs; the government works out the theory then the private sector commercialises it. And, as you say, government funding is hugely important for supporting the educational side of it; cut funding to university labs and you don't get that next generation of scientists and engineers to go into the private sector.

DOGE has done the classic 'take out a keystone species and now the whole food chain is fucked'.

>>519779068
I didn't mean Americans would actually be eating grass, dipshit, I just meant that if the US stopped paying its debts it would experience extreme hyperinflation.

>fires the teams at USDA in charge of managing US efforts to contain bird flu outbreaks turn has to scramble to rehire everyone because there are dozens of outbreaks at any given time to stay on top of
>fires DoE staff in charge of managing nuclear stockpiles and power facilities without realizing they can’t just be rehired or replaced because of all the security clearance requirements for their positions
It’s been an absolute clusterfuck. DOGE takes a sledgehammer to grants, agencies, programs, etc. without fully understanding what they do and then panics to click Ctrl+Z afterwards, not realizing that you can’t just demolish real world institutions or fire real people and then just say whoops, didn’t mean to do that, and set things immediately back to how they were.
>>
>>519780214
That’s not how federal staffing even works. You can’t just “fire the team” at a department like USDA or DOE with the snap of a finger, they’re mostly protected civil-service positions. If that kind of mass purge and re-hire actually happened, there’d be months of public records, congressional hearings, and operational outages we could point to, and there aren’t.
It’s a nice story because it fits the “idiots in charge” meme, but the reality is way slower and way messier. Agencies don’t vanish overnight, and there’s zero evidence of a wholesale fire-and-panic-rehire cycle.
>>
>>519775126
money = debt
There's no ''paying back'' in a debt based fiat system
>>
>>519779884
I completely acknowledge that there’s a LOT of problems with government grant systems and contracting; there’s a lot of grants that go to things they shouldn’t, a lot of contractors who overcharge or under deliver, etc. and I actually fully support auditing most of our agencies and programs and identifying waste.

The problem is that’s not what DOGE did.

What should have been careful and methodical audit became a juvenile smash and grab for the sake of reposts on social media. Instead of combing through the grants to carefully identify which ones were wasteful and which weren’t or which programs were returning on their investment and which weren’t, they just ran around doing searches for any grant with the word “diversity” showing up anywhere in a 40 page application and cancelled them, or looking for any employee with the word “climate” or “vaccines” in their CV and firing them.
>>
>>519779884
>Every office Ive been at gov employees have been incompetent saboteurs at worst and harmless wheelspinners at best.
You could say the same about a lot of big corporations. In any large bureaucracy you get workers who are absolute dead weight. I never said all government employees are efficient, I just said that that didn't mean the government wasn't doing anything important.

DOGE didn't go around firing all the inefficient workers. They cut entire departments. You're the retard if you take the fact that one worker just sat in his office all day watching porn means that no one in his entire building was doing any useful work.
>>
>>519780169
Dude, you use a lot of words without saying anything. Also, you're a foreigner flapping their gums about a country and government you have no clue about. Lol America is the biggest economy in the world and we live on a continent fich in resources thousands of miles away from Eurasia. We'll be totally fine. If our economy hiccups, I guarantee you Europe. Is far more fucked than the US, and we don't live densely like you dorks do among literal savage third worlders. >>
>>519780936
Read it. That story’s about GSA over-cutting, not “USDA and DOE firing entire teams.” It mentions a few hundred reinstatements out of a 12,000-person agency after voluntary buyouts and early retirements went too far. That’s a course-correction, not a collapse.
The article never says whole departments were eliminated or that the government “panicked to rehire everyone.” It describes limited rehiring to fill specific gaps and a GAO review still in progress. If that’s your proof of “fire the experts then rehire them all,” you’re leaning way too hard on one partial example.

You seem to be approaching this as an argument over national pride. I have insulted your national pride by implying America is not untouchable, so you double down on saying America is too great to ever be troubled by anything so trifling as mere economics, and try to divert attention by bringing up Europe's migrant problem.

Don't pay debts = hyperinflation. That is not an attack on America, I'm not trying to score points in the game of 'whose got the best country in the world' you seem to think you're in, that is just a fact.

I am fully aware that if America's economy crashes Europe is fucked, that's why I'm warning you.
>>
DOGE completed its task. Which was to gut all the government agencies that had cases pending against Musk and his companies.
>>
>>519781479
I think you have a complete misunderstanding of America and its role as the dominent economic superpower of the world. And you seem to greatly have no understanding of the nature of the country in general. We have vast untouched resources and are a major exporter of food to the world. At the very least, if the global economy crashes, we still have this country and its food and resources. Frankly we should just go isolationist to hedge against bets but we're still not done pumping the world of its money or resources yet. You have naive assumptions about what America is and how it functions. We aren't Europe who are super-dependent on resources from other countries. We aren't Asia with their paper dragon and 3rd world conditions masked by pockets of sophistication. Frankly the rest of the world seems terrified that we're pulling away. And they should be. America does not need the rest of the world. In fact, if it wasn't for the dust bowl (killed our crops due to greedy farmers who didn't properly rotate their crops) in the 1930s America would have fared better during the Depression than we did. The difference between erica and literally every other Western country is so vast you're comparing apples to uranium. This is why your argument rings so hollow. Your country is totally fucked if the wind blows the wrong direction. We have all of the directions to adjust to all the winds of change.

you can't just say it doesn't exist anymore because people's savings are used to buy the bonds - wiping it means you say their savings no longer exist

Honestly, the best part of the Trump administration is that there are so many ideological zealots in there now that they might actually be able to push through some cuts to those programs. Mike Johnson has certainly talked about it.

On the one hand, I would never wish for that; there are a lot of old people who didn't vote for Trump for whom those kind of cuts would literally be fatal. On the other hand, it'd be fucking hilarious watching the Boomers who did vote for Trump actually being the ones to suffer the consequences of their poor choices for once. And it would cut the deficit, which no matter how it happens is no bad thing.

And, best of all, once those selfish Boomer fucks get their cheque and see how much smaller it is... well, the Republican party would be digging its own grave as well as theirs.

This AP report does show terminations at NNSA and a quick rollback, which is serious. But it doesn’t support the broader statement that USDA fire-teams were eliminated and everyone was rehired, or that entire departments across USDA + DOE were gutted and then rebuilt.
So yes there were misfires, but the fan-fare version of the story is exaggerated.
