I think it’s more of a commentary on the leaps of knowledge by the cognitive elite which bear no difference on the sustenance farming mode of life that majority of people are rooted in. What truly does it matter when some decree comes that women are equal to men and the world is round? There are still gender specific chores and seasonal work to do for survival. The greater conversation here is metamorphosis or transhumanism from division of labor and the reckoning of comparative advantage.
