>building export terminals to increase our exports
>unlocking free trade between provinces
>borrowing tens of billions for 2.5% interest to build hundreds of thousands of housing units a year that will lower rent prices and skyrocket GDP and productivity
>Invest in nuclear energy
>Lowering income tax
>Securing our artic oil
>Limiting immigration
>Building trade relations with China and the E.U so Canadians can buy cheap high quality Chinese cars
>Cutting welfare programs for NEETs but offering them a job in his housing unit building program if they want money so we can recruit hundreds of thousands of young NEET Canadians into the workforce where they can develop experience and then get careers in the private sector where they can live with dignity
>>
10 years later and youre still placated by words? funny how you people chose to ignore these everbuilding issues until you finally experienced what you had been voting for

>Limiting immigration
You're a quarter jeet already, you're absolutely fucked unless you remove them and he and you both know it.

They are a plague that infects every town in Canada, big or small. My old elementary school is now a Khalistani fundamentalist school and every service industry job in town is now entirely jeet owned and operated

Of course you don't, just like Maga doesn't care about Epstein.

All of this needed to be done 15-20 years ago. Canada has run out of demographic runway and there isn't even an option to mass import jeets because even if you had 20 million Indians they still would not have the skills and education required to do the things Canada needs to do to become a functional country that isn't 100% dependent on the USA's good graces.

Frankly even with competent leadership Canada is like 60-70% dependent on the US being nice, but that's the difference between a dire crisis and an existential crisis. If Trump was actually able to maintain his focus for more than 10 minutes he would absolutely crush Canada and you would end up begging for annexation. But he's got 30 different major geopolitical issues pulling for his attention and can't tell the 25 of them that don't matter to fuck off.

My family is from Collingwood and there’s like 10 of them in the entire area

It’s not it yields a positive ROI, it’s estimated to generate a return of 12-15% a year and considering Canada can borrow at 2.5% that’s pretty good.

I am MAGA too and correct I don’t care.

I care about policy and I like Trump and Carneys policies even though they’re slightly different to reflect the different political and consitutional realities of the countries.

How do we rely on America being nice??? We’re trade partners

Because the USA has vastly disproportionate leverage over Canada. Canada is the US's largest trade partner but the US is the least trade dependent developed economy and the reason why Canada has such a tight trade relationship with the US is actually not really based in some grand strategic plan in Canada, it's because each separate province does more commerce with its bordering states than it does with its bordering provinces due to the fact that NAFTA actually made cross border trade easier than interprovincial trade.

Each province tends to have a bunch of highly inefficient protected, cartelized industries with one or two major US export goods that prop up the house of cards that is the rest of the Canadian economy. Canadian production and internal trade is fundamentally broken in a way that it is not in the USA or in most other developed countries. This leaves Canada in a uniquely vulnerable position where the US can more or less pull the rug out on the entire economy by blocking trade.

Canada has no realistic near term alternative to this system, building out the physical infrastructure required for something different, and engaging in the national and provincial level reforms and political>economic reorganization that is needed will take at least 8-10 years and Canada does not have that kind of time. If the US actually pulls the rug on trade and engages with sustained heavy tariffs the revenue collapse combined with the liability surge from retiring boomers (last ones hit retirement age in the next ~5 years or so) will make the situation untenable.

I fully agree with everything you said which is why I support Carney unlocking interprovincial trade and cross Canada economic supply chains, expanding our export markets, and investing in export terminals.

I was just contradicting your claim that the USA was being “nice”.

It’s in Americas interest too to have free trade with Canada. Free trade benefits both sides
