The modern Conservatives and Libertarians are totally off the mark on how to run a country. While they may have good economic theories in a vacuum they totally ignore economic realities of the present day. Right now we need to focus on demographics and our policy should be tailored towards that. Here’s what we need:>Lower taxes on couples per non disabled child. For every child a couple has, they should get a 20% tax cut until they have 5 kids in which case they pay zero income tax on a federal level. >Corporate tax increased to make up for shortfall>Tax on ultra wealthy increased to make up for shortfall in revenue>Tax on alcohol, nicotine, gambling, prosititution (if applicable) increased to make up for the shortfall>if additional taxes are needed, increased sales tax on non-essential goods (food & toiletries excluded).It’s easy to say just lower all tax but the reality is federal governments need some money for military, federal court administration, border control, and potentially infrastructure projects. They also need to pay interest on existing debts.Spending should also be adjusted for a pro-nationalistic endeavour. >All federal welfare spending should be pouched>Federal spending should only be on the bare essentials of government, debt repayment, or on infrastructure projects that can be reasonably expected to yield a much higher ROI than the cost of borrowing, such as export terminals, actually useful bridges, intermodal fright, and interprovincial transportation. Ideally you’d expect a 12-15% ROI on these projects>Potentially government built housing units designed for families. These projects will be used to mass employ the NEETs who lost their gibs, giving them experience that they can use to get a career after the projects over, as well as lower rent prices for families. >Housing units can be sold off to the private sector later if policy makers decide.
>>519796007This is in addition to the obvious nationalistic policy of blocking immigration and remigration to the extent possible. The only people allowed in the country other than citizens would be tourists, importers, and temporary workers that are needed (such as the South Korean factory engineers) who have no permanent claim to the country. Or cheap farm labor for farmers that have also have no claim to the country and are prohibited from leaving the farm they reside on for the duration of their stay.

Uh.. no! You have some good points, but some of them are disastrous. Like the child tax thing and taxing corporations to extinction to make up for the shortfall. They’ll just leave and go somewhere else. Look at California for a great example. I think the biggest thing is to reduce the size and scope of the federal government. We shouldn’t be spending 40% on social welfare problems like SNAP, Medicare and Medicaid. Immigration is not a problem, so long as those who immigrate are the best and brightest. They should be vetted and forced to assimilate to western and American values. Multiculturalism is a mistake and does not work.
