Yes because it is socialist and socialism is a blank check for the government to do whatever it wants and that includes making your life a living hell. Theres two types of socialism, there's you will eat the bugs socialism and there's you will die in a trench socialism. You will die in a trench socialism is more functional appearing because revving up an entire economy for war is great financially speaking, if you win. You will eat the bugs socialism can even manifest in former non socialist countries like the US as progressivism. The ultimate red pill is that socialism is an anti imperialist imperialism in practice. But in theory socialism predates Marx and is about making people's lives better using science. Marx called communism scientific socialism but in reality it was one of hundreds of socialist theories in order to improve the world. Even thinking that you could steer the government welfare in a better direction is a socialist theory.

Marx was in the first case a Hegelian, like many young intellectuals of his era. That is to say, he was influenced heavily by German philosophy. His other major influences were Adam Smith, the English economist, and the socialists of the French Revolution. Marxism is fundamentally in it's very DNA a European ideology.That's point number one. Point number two is the oft-ignored fact that the USSR refused to pay a single penny of the debts they "owed" to the international banking cartel after the Tsar put Russia deep in the hole to fund WW1.
