I lived through the 90s in russia, what's going on right now is nowhere close to that. I remember walking up to the apartment of my commie block and seeing a dead guy laying there with bullet holes in the wall, and like that was just a fact of life. Maybe after the war ends and economics crash completely (as most of it is now held on by duma money and weapon manufacturing), and soldiers who are used to higher pay now find themselves making 20k rub again, then trouble will start. But even with that, there isn't really anything for russia to collapse into. Even the ethnic regions in siberia all have russian language/culture.Those in uzbekistan/tadjikistan/kazakhstan/etc are also still moving to russia to work despite the ongoing war, due to proximity and language alone. These people could easily work those same jobs in other countries that want such laborers in europe/korea or wherever, but they never go there due to lack of ability to apply paperwork (where in russia they just enter visa free and get a patent).
