I'm gonna be honest, I've never felt more happy than when I think about, and witness, the collapse of this system.Don't get me wrong, I know what comes next (mass starvation, disease, heavy crime, etc), but I find some solace in knowing at least we will finally be free again. Free to try something new. To grow from the ashes into a better world. If I live long enough, I plan on wandering around what remains and discovering new parts of the world in a sort of "proto-civilizational" way. Maybe even meet people from what random new societies emerge, and ones that remain. Feels nice.I'll miss my vidya and assorted media though. Probably the only negative in my eyes. Though I can't imagine, in a post-collapse world, that there will be much free time to enjoy small luxuries like that.

Big lakes and some rivers have islands in them. Safer than mainland. Otherwise, remote areas of the US are likely to be forgotten. Mountain ranges. That kinda stuff.
