Whats your take on the new captcha?
Every change just makes it even more tedious to post on this site. I don't know why I even bother anymore
>>519865819there are still jews, indians and other assorted browns here
>>519865819Still the old one for me. Stop updating your crap you have these problems.
>>519865819there are 3 level of cuptha:1 those you get every day2 those you get when your IP has no post on 4chin for a long time or is newand this shit that only appears if you do sheanigganicansso what have you done?
>>519866052none of the above. i dont live on the website that could possibly be why.
>>519865819This thing is an obvious inconvenience to legitposters. All it seems to have accomplished aside from that is slow ecker down for like 3 days until they trained the captcha autosolver. So, we're back to square one except it's even less user-friendly for those not proxyposting. The good news are:—these captchas are mostly forced upon Americans—the lower your botscore the higher the likelihood of getting the shitty captchaImprove your score by making legitimate posts. Do not post through private browsing mode.Do not clear your cookies. The older the cookie the better.Post from landline internet whenever possible.
>>519865819Fucked up my captcha solver now I have to fix it.Gay retarded bot prevention measures don't work and just pose a nuisance.
>>519865819still too short
>>519865885how come they don't just rangeban india and israel for a start?and other brown golems for good measure
I just use the owo proxy site to postmuch better experience than vanilla 4chan
>>519865819I don't care.
>>519865819It's good for filtering out those pesky MAGA bots, but honestly they should just introduce accounts on this website already. It would be so much easier to just send them a picture of my government issued photo ID, and then never have to verify again. Think about how much time is spent daily filling out Captchas, the savings alone make it worth the while.
>>519865819Those are all diamonds and dashes.
>>519865885There's hardly any real posters now. The catalogue is just 1pbtid Israeli bots which hit bump limit whilst real breads get ignored.
>>519868097Yea it's bizarre. I keep seeing valid threads (like, I dunno, things heating up with Venezuela, Al Sharaa finding new 1st world nations leaders to shake hands with, the tariffs and their impact on the global economy, jeet visas, border issues etc) getting ignored and sliding off all the time. If there's no new post in your thread for a couple of minutes that means you're already on page 4 or worse. The lower the thread sinks the less are the chances for someone to drop by and contribute. This is unsustainable imo. Putting yourself into OP's shoes, as a legitposter you probably have to keep bumping until enough anons interested in the topic become aware of the thread, which may take a while these days.
>>519869876All it takes is 2 range bans to fix it. India and Israel.
>>519865819Same as the old captcha, prevents none of the things its claimed while making the user experience less engaging by forcing extra steps. This site was a whole different place back when there was no catcha, yeah there was a few niggers spamming but as you can see after all this time and effort they are still spamming and you guys are missing out on actual unrestricted speech.
>>519870478I'm convinced that most, if not all, spam threads are just posted through proxies. See flag for demonstration. Rangebanning doesn't do anything to those, that's like plugging hull leaks with a finger. We should only be so lucky if they only post through ecker. It's much, much worse, if there's other actors at play here. If there are, their tools ought to be even more advanced. I wouldn't expect real JIDF to post under their actual flag. The solution, as I see it, would like in a more hands-on and judicious moderation and adding some kind of pre-approval or a timeout system for IPs/users not seen before. Accounts (automatically created, no email required or anything, with mods and only mods being able to see user's unique ID) and vouching system, even, maybe. With the internet being swarmed with bots and captchas just slightly slowing them down maintaining anonymity as we see it today is probably unsustainable. As a tradeoff I'd unban known vpn providers so that the real users can obfuscate their real locations from the potential mod abuse.
>>519865819those all look like diamonds not circles
>>519871312Also keep in mind that 4chan pass users don't get captchas so it may be their way of coercing users into buying those.Well, with boards looking like that I reckon they wouldn't be getting much of an uptick in sales. Could be wrong though. If they really needed the money (like, to hire mods that can breathe through their noses and are literate), they could offer extra features like multiple file uploads or more post formatting options.
>>519865819I can't ever solve these. There's never any circles it's always just diamonds and dashes. Fucking kikes man I swear.
>>519865819sadly, bot prevention is a losing battle, since humans lost the turing test. making it more restrictive now will only filter humans.and yet, it is a small blessing that 4chan at least still tries, since the alternatives would mean far worse (id/accounts, browser fingerprinting, evercookies). cloudflare glows, and it heralds the death of free and open internet. sign of the times, i guess.
>>519865819same as always. bots find ways around it and it only punishes the actual users. stupid fucking mods
