When I go to sleep it's an absence of anything until I wake up. Drugs don't change this experience either.It's caused issues when I don't reply with the correct emotion. Here's an example. I can empathize with someone who has been tortured. I can also understand and feel the pleasure of the torturer by merely thinking through what torture and its effects on both the subject and torturer.
