Nord VPN is an israeli company. Dont remember whether it was founded by them or purchased. A couple other main VPNs are israeli, too. Probably the reason for this is doxing people by searching for key filenames/hashes/context/text, reading emails, whatever. I'm very confident one of these days at least one of those VPN providers will have an explosive public relations nightmare when something leaks about work with the Israeli government
