Because it's stupid and inefficient. My Tesla literally never needs to go into the shop. Imagine burning carbon when you can get around with magnets

I pay nothing in gas.

I have no oil changes, spark plugs o2 censors.

I get about 3 cents a mile in the equivlant in gas cost

I can outrun ANY an I mean ANY fucking gas vehicle. I can literally go from 0-75 in 3 seconds
>>

>what's the deal
germany and their suicidal guilt. no gas, no nuke, no benzine. only green and infinite brown people to feed with it.
>>
>>520272432
Not even that. EVs are such a different experience. The two things aren't comparable. I don't get the mindset of sticking to gas. Sure I guess they are cheaper but if you can afford an EV than get one. It's just better in every category and puts jeet gas stations out of business. Definitely the white man's vehicle

Dutch part time mechanic bro I always appreciate your posts. Fixing cars is a piece of piss if you have just a little bit of common sense and a Haynes manual. Rebuilt a MK1 MX5 block from scratch a few years ago, with the ex-intake camshaft mod, such easy cars to work on
Just bought a 21 Transit Connect and even doing an oil change is a fucking nightmare, they're trying and failing to make things greener which is ultimately destroying perfectly functioning engines, to any of you with a modern ish diesel, disable your automatic start/stop before your block gets bricked

They're making everything harder to repair. Kikes make way more money selling you a new product instead of repairing the old one. Thats all it is. Oh and stuff that needs energy efficiency is even more easy to make unrepairable. In order to increase efficiency, thinner metals need to be used. Thinner metals mean their structure gets compromised easier making a full replacement far more economical then having to change out the entire rusted frame. My old k1500 was still kicking despite all the rust underneath it because the frame was made out of thick american steel. Now its the thinest Chinese garbage to try and get the mpg up to meet environmental standards.

Being more green for some reason just translates to using more plastic parts. That why modern cars suck is because major critical components are made from plastic.

Plastic timing guides, plastic water pumps, plastic OIL PANS!?
>>
Theyre disguising peak oil by telling everyone they have to go electric to save the planet. Europe and china are oil importers, which is why they're going electric first.
>>
>>520273572
No it won't dude
Only in your imagination
It's astounding you think this is true. A base model Tesla would smoke any high end sports car with a v8

ICE simply put is engine autonomy. Bureaucracy doesnt work with ICE because the state can hardly get between the end user and the various economic components of ICE engines.

Did you know the whole tesla deal is they sell carbon credits to gm and others for lots of money.

Elon’s business model only works with its government funding. They make around 25% profit on each tesla, compared to 5% of lets say a corrola. The normal brands dont get subsidiced. Its a scam.
Also the lithium mines destroy the earth along with the defect batteries from old teslas. No, they wont be recycled.

The Age of Aquarius is coming, and the elites are pushing for the Electric Kingdom, where everything is electric, digital, surveyed and known/transparent. They are going to force an end to the so-called fossil fuel era, and have even hinted that they will use earthquakes to break the oil rig system. China is leading the way in this, and their roll out of solar bs panels, mass surveillance, social credit systems. and dominance of EV markets is this electric kingdom being introduced. Just listen to Boris Johnsons speech at the UN shortly before covid to get a glimpse of their mindset.
>>
>>520273788
That's it, the point of disabling it is if you're in constant traffic on the highway (motorway) or in the city and your engine is hot, it's going to put stress on the turbo and block.
The repeated restarting means that hot metal is constantly expanding due to cooling cycles and contracting it can potentially induce cracks, if you've got a diesel, particulate matter such as carbon WILL build up in the DPF without being able to passively regenerate.

EVs are better in any regard. They are simpler. Not many things there that can break. In combustion engine there are thousand of celebrate miniature details from steel grinding each other. While there is no conceptual difference between a toy car and a real electric car. The biggest problem is the battery and overall higher energy consumption.

Because if in the 2040s something occurs atmospherically and with the sun that makes electronic vehicles and the electronic infrastructure in general completely unusable, they can assert dominance after returning from their underground bases using gasoline powered p51 mustangs and the like, and the survivors of these environmental changes will be so tired of using donkeys to get around theyll treat these returning "elites" with gratitude and gladly work in the mines for them for pittance

0-75 in 3 seconds.anons tesla hauls ass at 170mph or whatever cuck limit gets set on the system.
It freaks out, slows you down intentionally.
Conversely you could disable it somehow, go 4 miles, and the motors are overheated and batteries are now bulged from the sheer stress of depletion, capacitors now leaking.

Not directly a related response, but Grenadier seems to be the more faithful continuation of the Defender series.
I'd buy that one if I could afford it, if it came down to choosing between that and the new JLR stuff.
Just leaving this here because I wasn't aware of the Grenadier's existence until recently and JLR has recently literally trooned out.

That's not how it works though, if you didn't get some piece of shit 10 year old EV.
After driving for 4 hours, you stop and plug into a charger, go take a leak, and get a coffee. When you get back to the car you're at 80%, and ready for the rest of your trip. Planned obsolescence of gas vehicles. Not because of the environment, but because gas vehicles don’t need the WiFi Bluetooth 5g Blu-ray experience center console that allows the government to track you.

Electric vehicles also consume more energy and are worse for the environment. Ever thought of energy conversion? Ever seen the Andes? Ever been around a lithium fire? The only way to put it out is to pour bags upon bags of sand on it until it stops. Electric vehicles are the ultimate goyim midwit machine.

Do you know what happens to E-waste in india? They burn it at high temperatures, even lithium batteries to extract tiny amounts of copper nickel and gold from circuit boards. Every used iphone and solar panel is burned in india in massive fire pits. Black smoke from these pits is visible from space, bigger than volcanic eruptions. 24/7. the energy density of oil is much higher than batteries, and this energy can be transfered in liquid form
these are two tremendous advantages over electric
and there are others that the elites don't like; it's way too easy for gas vehicles to go where they want, the logistics of refueling are way too accessible to plebs, they can even make their own biofuel by growing plants
it's opposite to their goal to have most of humanity safely locked in "walkable cities" while the privileged few enjoy the rest of the earth
ev are much easier to control than carbon burners

Rare earths are not so rare. A LOT of it is by-products from other mining that is usually dumped as waste. China has 10 years head start of extracting and refining these materials, and that's a real bummer. Rare earths from mining operations in most areas in the world, is tossed out after the copper or nickel ore or whatever has been extracted.

Electric cars were the first cars, dingus. The problem isn't with electric motors but the shitty batteries. Always has been. There is a reason e.v manufacturers don't talk about what happens to them when it gets cold. The solution they came up with is to attach a heater to the battery compartment...which runs off the batteries. Lol. That shit has to be running 24/7 when it's cold because lithium ion battery anodes start plating under 20f. They plate for a number of reasons but I will leave that example to speak for how shit e.vs are.

You must have been living under a creationist flat earth or something for the past 15 years?
Energy per kilo has gone up A LOT, and prices have come down.
The evolution is still happening so fast that it makes little sense to sell your 3 year old EV, because new buyers don't want that shitty old tech with half the capacity / range / charging speed as what todays more advanced models have. It's like computers in the early 90s. Battery chemistries have changed a lot, and will continue to do so.

>and only need shorter distances
that describes the needs of the vast majority of people in Europe, and most other drivers around the world. And for those extreme cases, options are not far away. The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLC EV touts a range of 700km.

what if the cars picked up power from the track itself?
>>

Your car must be tiny, mine is pretty small by modern standards but it still weighs close to 3000lbs

dumb nigger. Americans never had to pay a subscription for heated seats, that was only Eurofags and it was only on the cheapest cars.

i think it can work for some people for sure. i not sure if its really any better than just running the same old sub 1.0L engines we've had for ages, but it can work. but for a lot of people here it just wont work at the moment, and im not sure it really has to work, because i dont think that CO2 is devil gas or that theres a shortage of oil.

shes a sleek little thing thats for sure. sure do like 4-5 liters of gas for a hundred km, and thats wearing winter tread.

I always wanted a Geo Metro but last time I looked one guy in town owned them all and wouldn't let one go for less than 4.5K. Never see them on the road anymore

Electricity production is funny in that plants are just constantly running and what doesn't get used is "wasted". Having these kinds of roads would be insanely lossy and require orders of magnitude more power plants.
>>

i neither confirm not deny your assertion. you can have mine for 4k US

>>520303478
i mean just for races. imagine what you could do with that kind of power
>>
>>520302882
They've been experimenting with that in some countries.
>>
>>520303919
it cant work of course but for racing it would be funny. all that power for the EV F1 cars lol. its a funny thought

weight vs energy density in batteries have been looked at for many years, so some brands seem to be keeping the 500-600 km ranges, while dropping weight from the battery pack.

Formula-e has been racing for quite a few years.
In the Mexico City race, the cars do 41 laps around a 1,633 mile (2.628km) track.
So there's that.

im sure it has since its so obvious a problem. and they will get there in the end i dont doubt it. and then we're all going to be happy, provided i dont need to be driving a windows 17 shitbox that tells me something is in the mirror ever 3 seconds etc

Atmospheric CO2, oxygen and water is the lifeblood of the planet.
CO2 levels are doubled and tripled in greenhouses, and i boosts plant growth a LOT!
