Its mostly down to what Americans call foodWhen I moved to the UK I lost 35lbs in 6 months without even trying or changing my diet very much. 2 years later my job sent me back to the US for 8 months and I put on 40lbs while I was back. Back to the UK and I lose it all again in a few months. There is something wrong with US supermarket food which is why its banned in most of the rest of the world I suppose
