3i ATLAS CONFIRMED SPACE DIAMOND

>>>/x/41393986

>memeflag
>it's le diamond
we know it's not any kind of rare / precious metal
and regardless, the technology to do "space mining" doesn't exist and if it did we'd already be mining the moon
>>
Diamonds aren't valuable. They are artificially inflated ruby the debores family. This would be false.
>>
>>520350885
the guys on /x/ are good dudes though, they run a fun thread
it might literally just be a goofy space rock but it's been a great time
>>
>>520350582
Diamonds aren’t even valuable, it’s the rarity of natural diamond that make them valuable even though they can make exact clones in labs and they’re worthless. Why would space diamonds be valuable if lab diamonds are worthless? The whole diamond industry is a scam
>>
>>520350582
These people are so full of shit. There's no mission to probe the comet and even if there were, there's no way to design and build a ship in time or even be economically viable even if the comet were made of pure gold.

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN /B/?
>>
>>520351385
This.
Atlas 3i is hurtling through the solar system at 61 kilometers per second. The fastest probe we've ever launched from Earth was the New Horizons probe towards Pluto at 16 kilometers per second. If they really wanted to catch up with this thing, they would've had to launch something at least a year ago, which would have been literally impossible considering that it was discovered only in July of this year.

/x/ used to be one of my main boards but I cant seem to get hooked like I once did.
>>520352251
The wall would just collapse but the material wont be harmed
>>
>>520350582
so its diamonds? wtf will diamonds do to help mankind?
>>
>>520350582
diamonds are worthless on earth, yet alone in space
they're not even good energy source, cause the carbon is too pure to burn easily
>>
>>520352313
parker solar probe reached 192km/s
of course, that's towards Sun's gravity well. They could theoretically catch up to it, just not on its way out of the solar system. But it's on its way in
>>
>>520352313
also, Stanisław Lem has a great novel about object such as Oumuamua (fucking faggots who named that thing, never can remember it). It's called Pirx's Tale.
>>
>>520350582
Exactly. Its a chunk of a core of a dead star that went nova.

What happens to the precious metals market when asteroids are eventually mined for their metal contents?
>>
we can already make synthetic diamonds
/x/ are a bunch of retards
>>
just add moar boosters. you'll catch it
>>
>>520352313
Isn't the trajectory of Atlas looping back towards us? Could the plan be to intercept it on its way out of the solar system?
>>
>>520355622
They will artificially have prices on Earth stay the same. It will be the biggest scam in history. They will become trillionaires off of the asteroid metals, but they won't circulate that wealth back into Earth's economy so it won't effect current prices of precious metals on Earth. It's truly one of the most genius and diabolical plans the elites concocted and they'll probably get away with it too.
>>
>>520355390
This. It explains a lot of the weirdness around it.
>>
>>520355622
Nothing. Once we have asteroid mines up and running, all the metals they produce are going to be bought up by orbital shipyards, which will be willing to pay a premium over the normal market value of those metals to avoid the launch costs associated with sourcing metals from suppliers on Earth.

Until we've got space elevators or some other future tech that can reduce launch costs to near-zero, virtually all products made on Earth will still be using metals mined on Earth, with the space economy having no real impact on our lives down here.
>>
>>520355622
We fight in space over the big rocks, of course, and any surplus funds this effort.

>comms being relayed
>great reset unfolding before your very eyes
The powers that be have a new system that has been in the development for decades now, ready to be rolled out in the coming years. It will operate in parallel starting sometime this year and by the next decade it will be fully operational as the Agenda 2030 goals are slowly being implemented.
There will be no collapse, no violence, no uprising, no world war, no revolution, no killing of jews or politicians or other such fantasies. Instead there will be law & order, compliance and total surveillance until the very end. AI will be at the center of it all.

The Great Reset is inevitable.

This thing is acting very weird. Looks like it’s preparing to land

AYYY LMAO
>>
>>520350582
Diamonds aren't even rare and we don't have the tech to catch up to it and land on it to mine it or whatever. If you're gonna be schizo, just say aliens.
>>
>>520352618
It's because once you've read all the available information the rest is just retards screeching at each other over who's right.
