Post your ideas for Russia's future, /chug/!
1. Prohibit social parasitism; mandate that Russian males contribute to the workforce or military and women contribute to the workforce, military, or marriage.
2. Seize Minkovka, Rubtsy, Kherson, Bratenitsa, Grabovskoye, Progress, Bobylevka, and surrounding areas.
3. Use drone strikes to destroy recruiters and checkpoints intended to enforce conscription near the frontlines and deliver materiel to support draft resisters. Incorporate draft rebellion militias into the Russian Army with promises of early and honorable discharge from the Army.
4. Demand, in peace talks, that all oblasts of the Ukraine be permitted to hold referenda subject to joint US-Russia observation on accession to the Russian Federation.
5. Convince US to covertly or overtly sign another mineral deal, this time with Russia, by outbidding the hohols. Then implement THD.
6. Launch a law enforcement campaign intended to mass incarcerate drug users and drug dealers for deployment.
7. Establish All-Russian Patriotic Wargames Union on the basis of the Shooting Union of Russia, creating new sports for recreational WWII tank use etc. and guaranteeing all girls and boys can play the prestigious sport of Sensha-dō by 15 and have the option of joining a Sensha-dō club as early as 12. Ensure that all Russian boys can operate a firearm by 8.
8. Dedicate a day to the Russian victory in the Battle of Paris to commemorate the military glory of the Russian Empire.
Three years and no bets from shills yet!
Cлaвa Укpaинe в cocтaвe Poccии!
Glory to Ukraine as part of Russia!

Reminder:

Anti Vucic statements are nothing but a camouflage for the Serbian POOlack-like treacherous nature. Vucic is Serbia and Serbia is Vucic. The Balkan Wars happened not because of differences but because of similarities, they are all hyena-like.

It wouldn't surprise me at all. It's a pity Sumerian and so on are so little-known, and so difficult to learn; there are, as I suppose you know, heaps of tablets (the nice thing about clay tablets is that burning a library or archive full of them preserves them forever) but hardly anyone who can read them; there must be lots of interesting stuff yet to be read about.

Ever hear of Lucio Russo, by the way?

>Advance ecumenical efforts with the Latins.
I have developed a more complete framework for this purpose:
1. Propose to hold a Russian-Latin Synod of Saint Petersburg to resolve outstanding issues.
2. Discuss core calendar issues, including the Easter Computus, leap years, and leap seconds, at the Synod.
3. Establish that the SMO is a primary example of just war, fulfilling just war requirements at all stages.
4. Autonomous churches within the Moscow Patriarchate would be established to serve the Latin and Greek Catholics of the Russian World.
5. Hold an internal council on issues to discuss at a Synod in Archangel prior to meeting at Saint Petersburg.
6. Add the Emperors Constantine XI Palaiologos and Nicholas II to the Roman Martyrology.
7. Capital punishment, blessings of weapons, arms trading, etc. shall be permitted.
8. Divorce, LGBT, contraception, fornication, sperm donation, and abortion shall be completely prohibited.
9. Ecumenical councils of the Catholic Church between 869 and 1965 shall be regarded as valid Councils of the Church; however, the Councils accepted by the Russian Orthodox Church during this period shall be regarded as locally binding.
10. Preemptive agreement on protection of ROC/UOCMP clerics worldwide ahead of Synod.
How's this on a 1-10 scale?

Russo wrote quite a few books on science and technology in the ancient world; he was uniquely qualified on the subject (perhaps there were no others like him), since besides being an accomplished physicist, he was also a qualified classicist; he knew Ancient Greek and Latin. I think we might also bring up Jean-Pierre Houdin and his son; their case is a bit different, since it seems that they outdid/embarrassed the Egyptologists by applying engineering-type considerations to the question of how the construction of the Pyramids was organized.

based on short analysis video from history legends on this event, there's documented evidence of 2 black hawks being involved in the raid (so potentally ~22 spec ops in general)
but there is unproven by leaked evidence that actually 3 black hawks in total were involved, but only 2 were caught on camera.
Which leaves us with ~33 spec ops involved.

Confirmed casualties: ~5 or so spec ops dead.
No other confirmed info on anything.
Aproximate location of the landings: north-west of Pokrovsk city (most likely 3 different drop-off points)
Aproximate mission: to creae conditions for withdrawal of Ukrainian units trapped in Pokrvosk.

Possibility of success of such mission: quite low.

Fuzes are mechanical devices, and all mechanical devices malfunction on occasion.
>superquick
I know the US Army uses this term for at least a certain type of impact fuze, but it might not be a perfect synonym. In any event, the impact fuzes for aerial bombs and for artillery shells have different requirements, and so probably differ at least somewhat in their design.
>>
>>520458571
biolabs are confirmed by the US officials themselves.
And this isn't really even big news. Lots of countries around the world have local clinics who have signed contracts to share bio-material of patience with US research. It's just a known thing and has been around for probably 2+ decades.

Same goes for illegal CIA prisons hosted on foreign land to torture suspects outside of US jurisdiction. Most famously big scandal in Lithuania over a CIA blacksite prison, and one in Libya also

Granted, and it's obvious why. But, you know, a fairly ordinary ferroconcrete or brick building - even a rather sturdy one (it seems as though Soviet construction is very sturdy!) is a different matter from a HAS, which is what the target structure in your gif must represent. For that, you need a delay fuze, for reasons which you and I can readily envision.

It seems like glide bomb targets are programmed before the bomber takes off so I don't see why they can't select a more useful fuze since they know the target. It doesn't appear there are forward controllers giving bomb coordinates to bombers that are already in the air.
>>
>>520456757
/ourcoppermerchant/ strikes again
>>
>>520459991
Yes. The bombs themselves have GNSS (GPS + GLONASS) receivers, and probably some kind of cheap strapdown INS (in a strapdown system, there's no e.g. gimbals or similar mechanical provisions for the platform); it's not hard to figure out the necessary steering laws; probably just using a combination of proportional steering and maintaining a certain range-altitude profile (you have to stay above a certain "funnel" so you arrive in the immediate vicinity of the target with a surplus of energy, and then you dive).

Oh - presumably FABs (and most aerial bombs in general) have tail or side fuze wells, for obvious reasons.

>forward controllers giving bomb coordinates

There was one case in the last year where Russians used a laser designation at Toretsk I think, other than that its virtually never seen. I don't believe any of this talk about laser designators on UAVs for krasnopol.
>>
>>520460643
You may be right; I do recall seeing footage of a Krasnopol being *fired* (as opposed to the "objective control") that was pretty recent.
>I don't believe any of this talk about laser designators on UAVs for krasnopol.
Why not? It's perfectly feasible technically, and it wouldn't be all that expensive or complicated to do. Do recall that the first laser designators to be used in combat were *handheld devices* - the WSO in the jet (an F-4) would illuminate the target right through the canopy.
>>

>Has one of these laser designators been captured?
That's a good question. Maybe it's been mentioned; there's e.g. YouTube/Telegram channels that look at hardware from the war they've managed to get their hands on by whatever means, for example.
>The one for forward observers to use on the ground is huge and wouldn't fit in an Orlan-10 let alone a supercam or whatever UAV they use these days.
That doesn't mean they can't be made much smaller. You could integrate it with the sensor turret - in fact, that's almost certainly what you'd do, for a variety of reasons, in many cases.

It may be the reason that there's never been any "big news" about a drone with a laser designator being captured is that they're such ordinary and unpretentious devices that no one saw fit to make special mention.

Here's some search results:

The mortar projectile (I call it a mortar bomb, which is apparently an Anglicism/Britishism - the usual American practice is to call it a shell) is laser-guided. It's much easier to make a mortar bomb guided, esp. a larger-caliber one, as compared to something like a 152mm/155mm shell; you've ample diameter, and the accelerations and so on are much gentler. This isn't a good war for mortars, it seems - you've got to get too close to use them - but the Smel'chak (that's what this projectile is called) was once a very useful weapon.

Any kind of real opposition requires more logistic support and equipment than special forces units can support.

When you add the kind of mentality these units must cultivate, you have a recipe for disaster, both in terms of criminal activity, and in tactical clusterfucks.

Either way, there's no need for something to, say, illuminate the target with a laser.

If the pilot (or other crewman) can input coordinates in flight, this provides a lot of additional capability; you can attack targets which suddenly appear in order to, for example, provide support for frontline forces.

>On 2 August 2023, an investigation by The Wall Street Journal found that Ukrainian medical amputations in the war came to between 20,000 and 50,000 including both military and civilians.[623] In August 2025, the National Institute of Strategic Studies [uk] reported that officially, the National Health Service of Ukraine recorded 95,000 amputations carried out in Ukraine on military personnel and civilians. Including amputations carried outside Ukraine the number was as high as 120,000.[624] In comparison, during World War One 41,000 British and 67,000 Germans needed amputations.[623]

If it can be launched from surface ships or submarines, then it can certainly be launched from land; that's the way to go, generally; it'd have to be part of a complete system, which would include (presumably wheeled) TELs and so on.
>Certainly it can carry tactical nuclear warheads but it doesn't make it startegical.
It could easily carry warheads of 100 kt yield or more; if it was to be used against fixed ground targets in Europe - in particular, things like that Aegis Ashore installation, or big fixed early-warning radars, it'd certainly be strategic.

With the ranges they're stated to have it should be more than that. But I naively assumed that'd still be a steep enough impact to cause the thing to dig in.

The thing can *glide.* It can come it at almost any flight-path angle - there's nothing aerodynamic or mechanical restricting this. Perhaps the guidance logic sometimes brings the thing in on a shallow angle...

That's certainly a strapdown system! GNC isn't quite my field, still less MEMS, but the term "vibrating structure gyroscope" comes to mind; I think this is how MEMS gyros work; it must be difficult to have a rotor at those sorts of scales, but something pendulum-like will precess and so on, too, I imagine.

>/chug/ what are your thoughts
A blockade is an act of war and was solved by Russia explaining it to them the last time.

This is indicative of the fact the Ukraine is lost and the goal of extending Russia, as in make them waste money and resources on the military instead of the economy, is still unchanged.
So a new front is needed.

This means we will see attempted flairups all around Russias perifery, in particular in Europe due to the division of labor goal.

So Lithuania attempting a blockade, Estonia harassing Russian ships, Moldova attempting to subdue Gagauzia and Transnistria and why not some shit in Serbia?

Putins restraint is the cause of this since the EU sees it as him being a cuck. Oreshniks in Rammstein (or wherever the Ukraine War is coordinated) would be a decent slap on the wrist, or an anti piracy operation in the Baltic sea based on US model outside Venezuela.
This is a language they understand.

>Special Operations Forces losses during the war
>Footage has appeared online confirming the losses of Ukrainian Special Operations Forces during the armed conflict.
>According to available data, Ukraine's SOF have confidently lost 325 personnel from various units.
>The majority of losses occurred in the Donetsk People's Republic. This is due to the active use of SOF as firefighting teams. This was the case in Bakhmut, and also in Pokrovsk.
>A large number of SOF servicemen were also lost during suicide operations like Kursk or during counterattack attempts near Volchansk.
>Losses of two SOF members were also noted in Zhytomyr. This likely happened as a result of a missile or drone strike on the SOF training center. There is such a center in Berdychiv.
>Many might think that 325 people is very few for almost 4 years of war, but, firstly, this is only part of the data (information about SOF is strictly classified with the highest level of secrecy, so it is very difficult to obtain such information).
>Secondly, SOF are the most trained units, deployed for narrowly focused tasks, and their mass deployment is excluded.
>Attention is drawn to the loss of officer personnel, which is difficult to replenish. However, the sergeant staff also consists of serious cadres, and their shortage affects the combat capability of the SOF.

I was just reading one of Seth Harp's articles in Rolling Stone, in which he says a Delta Colonel said that JSOC has 250 trigger pullers total (would have been in 2019).

Two notes:
I don't think wectoids can understand how militarized hohols are (cue the video of the toddler playing with a toy mortar).
It seems unlikely that Ukraine's population could produce 100-1000's of high quality SF candidates.

Those sanctions hurt EU more than Russians.
They already mitigated most of it+it pushed them and China (India also) much closer.
So in case of a WW China most likely will be with Russia and India very likely to remain neutral or even help them in some cases (like Indian-Ocean etc).
Genius geopolitical move...
>>520466183
>Why not do the same thing as with Crimea with the whole of Ukraine?
Because unlike Crimea which is filled with Russian friendly Tatars, the other parts don't like Russians.
They don't want an Afghan situation like the US, where they occupy the country for 20 years for trillions of dollars, auffer a bunch of losses because asymetrical warfare is really hard to defeat.
Instead they will slowly defeat the ukies, killing any potential rebels and making refugees out of those, who don't want to stay.
It's more costly on the short term, but much better long term.
Plus:
They were able to test their weapon systems against NATO weapons.
They were able to stresstest their logistic system.
They are able to destroy NATO equipment (maybe even einstand the remaining after the war).
But the outlook is not good for them as it looks like they will only take (or make loyal states out of) the Russian majority states that rebelled years ago.
While this is humiliating for NATO, that their overpriced weapons were few and ineffective, it's also only a pyrrhic victory for Russia (the real winner is China).
Putin need to take a big chunk out of Ukraine, not just make it do a pinky promise not to join NATO (that they will ignore pretty soon anyway).

And yet it's a country with the single biggest population of the all and therefore biggest mobilization potential. Also it's situated in the part of the world where GAE have the least of mobile armed assists. So if anything, it's actually the least realistic target out of them all for the TACOman.
