300k Eternal students in Greece will be removed from public universities. The government maintains they leech on public resources and keep dormitories occupied for years while freshmen have to rent since there are no rooms left...

Oldest eternal student has been enrolled since 1933 in Athens University of Economics.

What the fuck is going on?
>>
How the fuck are they NEETs if they're in university?
>>

Because they don't attend classes, it's akin to being married but your wife hasn't seen you in 20 years

greece used to have no limits (or ridiculously high ones) on how long you could remain in a uni even if you are not making progress with graduation
so lots of people retained their student property for cheap housing at uni camps or cheap meals at uni restaurants, plus other privileges and discounts for those with a student id

ps: the problem isn't actually that big or relevant. many of those 300k people are just normal people who stopped attending but never bothered with the formal procedure ot deleting themselves from the registry, or who postponed their studies to go work. i would have been part of that statistic a few years ago

it's the government making a big show of reducing public waste

The dream is of a state education, a government job, an arranged marriage wife and rambunctious kids. If the government is going to deny these common commodities, then the government will change. Subsidies, benefits, good credit, these things are not a dream, they have to take place
>>
>>520482721
Because NEET and incel are now used as slurs "i dont like you" without any actual meaning.
>>

they just are literally gorilla tier fags that cannot build a simple system of categorising students. there is no need to delete if you wanna gave the no limits education, you just render some students inactive and the uni doesn't get money about these students, simple shit. Plus anyway these students do not get benefits

This country is so bureaucratic and meticulous it actively pains the mind, and if the process took place then we could say okay it's a Swiss clock that works, but no we can't count on these niggers doing anything
>>
what does the future of greece look like?

People here think they're Numenoreans, they marry in their 50s and 60s, I know people whose parents had them in their forties and fifties. As they always say so, eat big and don't talk big, laugh and grow fat!

OP is a total retard. I have literally never heard of anyone living in a dorm room and i've spend 10 years hanging out with college students. Not that they don't exist, mind you....dorm rooms are so few that I am almost certain you need to have a connection with the government to get one and most cities don't even them, like zero available.

Fuck, hope greek dormitory anon is doing well.
>>
>>520483445
the thing is that the money the typical greek makes don't offer much for creating a family on your 30s or 20s.
>>

Too many delivery jobs, wage clerks and servitors, not enough substantial income. This is a service economy of stupendous proportions, the truth is only the NEETs getting pensions for disabilities are gonna ride this out
>>
>>520483814
kek this, plus even substantial production jobs do not offer good money and they already prefer illegals since many years. 1000euros a month for example won't cut it for a family, it barely cuts it for survival.
>>
This happens all the time, some retard government comes in and says they will get rid of the eternal bloat and then it turns out to be too difficult and the eternal students continue to exist. I've been hearing about this problem since at least 2010 from Greeks on /int/.

Greeks are just lazy and mooch off the government.

Are Greeks lazy? They're just cognizant, on one side you've got people shredding their ass in 13 hour workdays, and then you have people who see this, who know their parent's sacrifices meant nothing but more inflation, debt and stagnation and choose some sort of getaway, nepotism here clientism there. To be the oathsworn and diligent Achilles you have to win your urge to be cunning and brutal Odysseus every day, how long will it take for the brave and deceitful ambitious ego to win over? Ten years? Twenty? You can lift the cross for a hundred days, but on the hundred and first you drop it

Do you even read?

It has always been the neoliberal faggots of New Democracy (ruling party atm) who see a problem in this, they are OBSESSED with the "eternal students", because they want to replace public education with U.S. style private education

New democracy are a neoliberal-neoconservative concoction, cargo cultists for America, I have no idea who would do the job better though after all these years
