Why do we spend so much money on low level crime? Instead of parole, court hearing and substance abuse counseling for petty shit why don’t we just publicly beat people anymore? Public humiliation combined with a good beating will be more effective than long drawn out bureaucratic process for the dumb people that run out of walmart with a cart or forge a check
