>>521004952that doesnt make a difference. money received or money saved, the amount of money you have on hand will be the same at the end of the year.

>This isn’t the first time Trump has floated the idea of giving Americans stimulus checks based on revenue from his tariffs. In October, he said that he was considering offering Americans checks from the revenue, worth somewhere between $1,000 and $2,000. In July, the president again suggested that the government might consider tariff rebate checks.>In February, he and tech mogul Elon Musk, who at the time was still advising the White House, said they were considering the idea of a $5,000 “dividend” check based on savings generated by the so-called department of government efficiency (Doge). These payments never came to be as the national deficit actually increased under Doge, and the amount cut from federal spending was significantly exaggerated.

>>521006768And if you get in a serious medical emergency your life is over This country is on the brink of over.
>>521006246Last time it was predicted upon a worldwide pandemic where they were shutting down large parts of the economy. I know Covid was largely bullshit, but the response to it was very real and those checks were a part of that. "The country is doing well so we're gonna let everyone share the wealth" has NEVER been a justification for sending out free money before, so I think it's exceedingly unlikely to happen this time. Also, you might want to check out what Bessent said today because he's already walking this back lol
>>521005955It will be a new tax break for billionaires.Elon needs that $1.000.000.000.000 tax free.

>>521004200Honestly if I was given $2000, and another $2000 for wife, we would just pay off our credit cards so we can continue using it for the next year and a half or two. Last time we got a nice chunk of change we lived off it for a nice amount of time, but it was not life changing, and if it is for some, I honestly feel sorry for you. I remember the last handout, people literally waiting day and night for the transfer and when some didn't get it it was like their life was over, SAD. $2000 is chump change in the grand scheme of things.
