What happened to the ancient Thracians? We know that modern Bulgarians are a mix of slavic nomadic bulgar turks and gypsies. So what happened to the white thracians like Spartacus? I've maybe seen 1 or 2 actual white looking bulgarians. Most are very brown looking.

They just changed their language and names, and various new people moved in, but Bulgarians are mostly old stock. The Bulgar Turkic-speaking component gave them their name, but is statistically minor (or else they'd still be speaking it). Gypsy ancestry is basically 0.
