Just got back from doing mandatory community service at the food bank and was surprised to see that the majority of SNAP recipients were FUCKING BOOMERS! What's crazier is that most of them live in the Walmart parking lot next door. When I asked several of them how they became homeless, they all had the same story: kids and family abandoned them and all they have is a measley SSI check. Most are just living in their cars, or old pop-up campers.

I love a feel good story

What's nuts is that it was THOUSANDS. The place was fucking slammed.

They double remortgaged their homes and then spent the rest gambling. They thought it would last forever but because they were all on pain meds and SSRI's they became addicts and the banks foreclosed early on them as soon as they saw their accounts in the red due to mounting healthcare costs. Now Boomers are literally homeless and Zoomers are renting. Only Millennials and Gen X actually keep the workforce running and they are slowly realising that Zoomers don't actually pay rent.

>kids and family abandoned them

A lot of boomers have profoundly bad relationship skills. They can't cook, but they're also not appreciative if you cook for them. They can't keep the house clean, but they're also not appreciative if you clean the house for them. They're generally not happy content well adjusted people. If their family abandoned them it's because they're hard to deal with and unappreciative of any help or assistance they get.

I feel like they DEMAND help though. Working around them has made me realize how fucking needy and entitled they are.

Put this as a poster in your food bank, criminal.

They've always had this idea that the world is divided into "suckers" and "winners". So they treated everyone around them like garbage because it made them feel like they got the long stick. It's sad, but they did this to themselves. One has to ask, is money really worth the sanctity of the family and home? Is the price of innocence, a home and society worth the paycheck or the tax?

Greed doesn't give a shit about any of that. Greed is an infinite loop of short term decisions. It is only those who have evolved to think long term that have defeated the greed within themselves. Short term thinking always results in collapse.

The saddest thing of all, even when you "help them" they still think of you as a sucker, when really they have just been swindled out of the most valuable thing of all. Their family. Those children, born out of "fiscal responsibility" were always taught their worth was financial, not based on the principal that is love, kindness, respect, loyalty. You killed everything that was right in the world. Now reap what is left.

What else did you notice?

Normalizing talking about abuse scares the generation that got away with it by scaring people into compliance.
>>
Alot of them getting scammed out of their retirement savings after a lifetime of refusing to help their kids or family with them, then just handing 350k to someone in Amazon gift cards and Gold bars "cause they sounded official sounding" is real too.

Then those same boomers will swear up and down they knew the whole time, but they did it anyway. It's unreal to watch, then you realize for years they never got any calls home, any visits, and this is their one last "fuck you" to their families, who are thinking they might get something when boomers die, it's to tell their families they aren't getting shit, scammers are, and to make them fight for it or "try to help" or give her the attention and care they need in their old age.

It's the dieing act of a generation that has only known to abuse and look down on others, to squander their shit so others can't have it, or in many cases leave entire hoardes of junk they won't let you touch "until their gone".

I forget the term, it's malicious compliance, or something, deliberately fucking things up so they don't make you do them.

This is an entirely boomer thing, where some boomers will go their entire lives never having done laundry because it's someone elses job, and if they are ever allowed to do it they dump an entire bottle of bleach into the clothes just to ruin them and manufacture a situation where they "have too" be thrown out.

Same with cooking, they have basic fucking cooking skills where they make the same 8-10 dishes with zero variation then think their Michigan Chiefs or whatever the fuck the cooks on TV say they are,

But any meal you cook for them, they have a laundry list of complaints, will point out every little thing they don't like, or how this wasn't done right,

Then you go out in public with them, and they do this exact same shit to the waitress just to embarrass you in public, just spend 5mins nagging the waitress about how they didn't like it.

It's exclusively a boomer thing, their behaviour is why their families abandoned them, and why they went years without a visit or a phone call, it's also why "okay boomer" is a meme
