{Horseshoe Crab is valued at $60,000 USD per gallon - it’s harvest due to its clotting reaction to bacterial toxins}

>which it generally does.
unless its "older" than 6k years
at that point its circular reasoning indexed to cherry picked data, literally, because no living thing is verifiably older than that.
Tree ring dates are the main calibration and they are only counted if they dig up an ancient dead tree and it matches a signature they arbitrarily decide is older than 6k years for "reasons". If it doesn't match they toss the data

thus everything dated older than 6k years is a pseudoscience made up number. Its the fundamental definition of cherry picked data

If C14 dating is provably nothing but systemic circular reasoning mental vomit that cannot be questioned why would those methods for "older" dates be any better?
Pic related was in the news recently complaining that in the field of paleontology there are gatekeepers and you cannot question them even if/when they're obviously wrong.

She is right.

Now imagine the pressure faced by a professor that just spent 2 years and $500k in grant money to dig up a dinosaur and radiometric dating shows a dinosaur is only 2 million years old. Their career would be ruined.

They'd lie and take it to their grave 100/100 times and nobody would ever question it or even be able to question it.

It's more like "the endemic problems that prove you cannot measure anything past 20 PSI with a 150 PSI harbor freight gauge are also present in tools that measure beyond that, but nobody cares and the entire establishment still uses HF pressure gauges to measure up to 150 PSI and it cannot EVER be questioned"

C-14 has a half life of 5,730 years so it is only used for dating stuff that is no older than 50000 years also it is not good for dating marine organisms because marine environments accumulate stable carbon isotopes, other much longer lived radioisotpes are used for dating older stuff.

There is no DRIVE to evolve. It just happens. Mutations occur and some of them happen to be favorable. The most favorable are more likely to be passed on.
Nothing is out there coercing mutations to achieve evolution, rare environmental factors notwithstanding.

Yet you coping lunatics think it happened hundreds of times according to the video above hahahaha!!
>After millions of years, unlikely things are bound to happen
It's unlikely your name will be spelled out with meteorites landing in a field
Will it happen after millions of years?
>no
Cope it is then!

That’s the weird thing about people’s grasp of evolution. They have applied their own values to it to make it something they can accept.
It irks me when I hear people use the term to describe personal growth. People don’t ever fucking evolve.
Evolution is an ugly miserable process where the few who are lucky enough to be born with an advantage in the environment win more than those who don’t and pass on more genes. It literally sucks and no one in the world should actually want it to be true, unless they’re jewish or something.

>can't realize a date is just the label we put on a specific time
It's mesmerizing how you're able to communicate with words while simultaneously being oblivious to their meaning.

>>a date is just the label
we don't measure labels, thus measuring time does not mean measuring date
Radiometric dating does not measure time or date. It measures atomic energy levels and a date is later inferred via mental gymnastics.
What I said remains fully accurate: we can't measure a date, we are measuring atomic energy, and no time measurement is required for this, thus your stupidity about 'measuring time' is fully irrelevant.

Says the moron that just confused time and date

Keep proving you're a moron by replying

Is this actually medically valuable? I've only heard about it since like 2019. Is it new and pointless, maybe? My gut says don't do it.

>we are measuring atomic energy, and no time measurement is required for this
*fundamentally not required

Time is obviously used in electromagnetic energy flux calculations since we aren't going to wait around billions of years for a specimen to fully decay and measure all the energy it released. A device will extrapolate from a short period of time and then divide by the total time to get energy released. The person using the device isn't measuring the time, nor cares, and that is what matters.
