It looks like they told Trump that the Supreme Court is likely to rule against his reckless tariff policies. Next he will say the court is deep state or "rigged" despite it being a conservative majority and him appointing three of them himself.

I could see them ruling that the current tariffs get to stay in effect, but he can't add any more. Since we already used them to negotiate deals with some other countries, blindly removing them could be reckless.
