The United States should end military aid to Israel.1 Military aid to Israel presents a security risk to the United States. Israel began selling military technology to Communist China in the late 1980's. The sales increased until Israel was second only to Russia in sales of Miliary Technology to China. These sales were instrumental in the modernization of China's military.2. Military aid to Israel is a diplomatic liability to the United States.3. Military aid to Israel is illegal under the Leahy law which prohibits military aid to human rights violators.4.Military aid to Israel is illegal under the Symington Amendment which prohibits any form of foreign aid to nations with nuclear weapons that do not permit inspections of their nuclear sites and/or have not signed the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty. Israel has not signed that treaty, and Israel has not allowed inspections.
