It's hard to overstate how much the Americans are getting destroyed by China in AI. These American companies are paying AI researchers in the range of $1-$100 million a year. Funnily enough, many of these researchers are actually Chinese. And they are still losing to Chinese companies that are working with 1/1000 the budget. Deepseek is literally a small office in a building shared by dozens of other companies.
