My political-philosophic position since childhood (and no one has refuted it) has been that the US Constitution only covers people who believe in it. Thus, the moment one becomes a communist, fascist, etc you are no longer protected under the US Constitution. Furthermore, all speech against the rights guaranteed by the US Constitution are not protected by the First Amendment. The logic behind this is, to protect freedom a society cannot allow people to use those freedoms to actively work against freedom. Thus, the idea that the first amendment only covers pro free speech statements is a contradiction may appear superficially compellign to an edgy high school teenager, but those with more sophisticated thinking will recognize that all great truths rest on paradox.Therefore, the government should actively prosecute and/or deport all those who oppose any aspects of the US Constitution.
