fun fact: he had previously gotten caught speeding at 99 miles per hour -- but that just means the cop was lazy and didn't want to take him to jail for going >100 MPH, so he reduced the speed to 99 MPH and gave him a ticket instead

he would have been in jail thanks to Florida's super speeder laws if the cop had done his job. >100 MPH is instant jail in Florida, but the cop can reduce it to 99 MPH if they're feeling lazy.
