But granite, in those times perhaps only with some giant chainsaw and dozens of people pulling it back and forth. Now regarding the carvings on the walls, yes most of them look badly written in the terms of symmetry but even Roman's and Greeks weren't any better. Still perhaps these late Egyptians really just arrived there and copy pasted all things they found there from some previous and much technologically advanced fag's and just copy pasted it in limestone and marble.
