Why does /pol/ hate electric cars?
>>
>>521078332
because they are gay and don't work properly in the white mans environment aka winter
>>
>>521078332
Short range.
Long Charging Time.
Can burn worse than gasoline when they catch fire.
Eco-nightmare making the batteries and disposing of them.
Grid can't handle them
Just moves "pollution" from the cities to elsewhere.
Advocated by midwits who have chronic Dunning Kruger. "I fucking love science!"
Greater control by the government in your travels, as they have a government "off" switch.
Jews rape babies and are trying to kill us all.
>>
Gay
>>
>>521078332
Because they're brainwashed retards who want to give their money to sandniggers to power their cars.
Electric vehicles are based.
>>
>>521078332
I don't. What I hate is being mandated to use electric cars.

Also I hate that I can't buy a Chinese car. Fuck Tesla, fuck Ford, and fuck Chevy.
>>
>>521078737
>Also I hate that I can't buy a Chinese car.
Are you a chink or a lolbertarian?

>>

well most Americans older than 20 are used to the idea that cars can last multiple decades, and these EVs have proved they cant last more than 5 years without a total battery replacement (cost of a brand new car lmao)'
so much for "sustainability" lmao. keep mining that chinese lithium and making those batteries. Soooooooo good for the planet lmao
>>
>>521078861
I'm a bad goy.
>>
Old technology and fuck cars in general. Hyper new age slavery essentially smooth brains don't understand paying tax on nothing in return is free labour
>>
>>521078546
this
>>
>>521078926
>and these EVs have proved they cant last more than 5 years without a total battery replacement
Absolute bullshit.
>keep mining that chinese lithium and making those batteries. Soooooooo good for the planet lmao
The batteries can be recycled and made into new batteries.
>>
>>521078637
you cant supply the energy required to replace every single petrol based car, unless you start burning the same oil to generate electricity
>>
>>521078546
>they have a government "off" switch.
big if true
>>
>>521078546
This, but I do understand their place for people who need 20-30 miles a day for their jobs. As long as you acknowledge the failings and work around them they are fine tho.
>>
>>521078546
Don't electric cars turn into crazy ass electric/chemical fires after accidents because of the walls of batteries in them?
>>
>>521078543
Electronics used to operate better when it was colder, people used to overclock their PC's with liquid nitrogen and got the highest performance possible, what happened?
>>
>>521079347
All modern cars are connected to the internet. They've all got kill switches, even the gas powered ones.
Don't drive a car if it was made after 2011 or so.
>>
>>521079585
Electronics operate better when cold, batteries do not.
Your PC is powered by a wall outlet, not a lithium ion battery.
>>
>>521079347
There are some who are trying to get rid of that law.
https://perry.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=403173\
Next year and on, there has to be a kill switch
I'll keep my old gas cars, thanks.
>>
>>521079658
>Your PC is powered by a wall outlet, not a lithium ion battery.
Acktually it is powered by a lead acid battery
>>
>>521078332
Internal combustion engines offer more freedom and anonymity as well as more efficient fueling (adding juice to the system) than waiting 20 minutes for your fag machine to charge.
I dont give a shit about your 0-60 in no seconds whe your vehicle is govern3d and i dont give a shit about the torque when your tesla truck frame cracks because magnesium is garbage. Ill take my diesel, put a block geater in it and have it start every day for the rest of my life including no dead batteries in cold weather.
Dont even get me started on nigger rigged hand crank systems either.
Electric isnt there yet.
And then you faggots complain about the environment and have no idea whats required to make a battery the size needed for a vehicle like OP pic related to function, and it lasts half as log as a reliable v8 or some of the cheapest 4 bangers.
Hell i have a 4 wheeler more reliable than the best EVs.
Theyre fucking gay.

This is fucked up.
What happens if i disable the transceiver in my car so that it can't get connected to the internet, assuming that i have a new but non-electric car?!

You no longer get the automatic software updates and your car stops working.
>>
>>521079344
>oil is the only way to make electricity
You're beyond retarded.
>>
>>521080836
good luck trying to power the current amount of vehicles with solar or hydro retard
>>
>>521080965
>we can make cars but we can't make solar panels
>just please keep giving money to sandniggers, ok?
lol. lmao
>>
>>521080965
You can use natural gas or nuclar
>>
>>521080834
How is this shit legal?
>be me
>pay good money for a car.
>I'm still not the owner of the car, the company is.
It's like Windows 11 where you have to create an account and get connected to windows server so that you can get access to the operating system that you paid for.
>>
>>521080836
Hydro is tapped out.
Wind and "solar" are still impractical and to unreliable to be connected to the grid. A passing cloud and literally how the wind blows causes supply instability that cause for a re-balance of the grid. You're Dunning Kruger makes you think it's simple, you have no idea.
geothermal only lasts a short time, and then you have to drill another deep hole. Impractical.
And you voted out Nuclear, and with the decline in competency because you value race over merit that's probably a good thing.
That leaves hydrocarbons, and you have a non-science belief about that
Have a nice day!
>>
>>521081350
Honestly I wouldn’t believe that. No mere software update is gonna brick basic vehicle functions.
>>
Why do they make that loud noise? No motor I have sounds like an aquarium.
>>
>>521081175
We buy oil from sandniggers cause there's no other option otherwise we wouldve done it a long time ago.
You're a clueless retard lmao you've no idea the amount of petrol cars, ships and planes use, just how many barrels of oil are used daily and how many solar panels you'd need to get even a fraction of that. Stay retarded

>320hp
>0-60 in 5 seconds
>40mpg
becuse hybrids are better. I don't have to rely on electricity or gas alone. we also have infrastructure to support both.
>>
>>521081335
with nuclear you have an argument , but then you still have to deal with shitty batteries
>>
>>521078543
>don't work properly in the white mans environment aka winter
When why is Norway full of them?
>>
>>521081432
>No mere software update is gonna brick basic vehicle functions.
It literally did, dumbass. Ford tried to update the software that runs the back-up cameras and it failed. Just look up Ford Failed OTA update and you can find tons of examples of this screen appearing because of whatever latest update failing.
You need to have the software rebooted by a dealership tech in order to get the thing running again.
>>
>>521078332
They're faggotmobiles. They aren't even cars. They're just virtue signaling apparatus for faggots to say "other people who already hate you will think I'm better than you for owning this piece of shit."

that describes truckfaggots too
>>
>>521081583
hybrids are the worst of both worlds. All the compication of an ICE engine and maintenance and all the extra weight of battery that will eventually die and need replacing. Cost more to begin with too.
>>
>>521082283
>original prius still going strong from 2003
>toyota isn't kia
>battery replacement, diy, is 500 dollars if you take it to a recycler.
toyota 4 cylinder engines are not complicated, neither are the electrical systems. just say you don't know how to work on anything that isn't carbureted.
>>
>>521082862
>drive a 2003 prius
lmao no thanks
>>
>>521083098
that was an example. not like it matters, all you have is slow shitboxes in the uk anyway and the speed limits are hilariously low. also traffic cameras, ulev zones, narrow streets, etc.
>>
>>521082235
me in the portapotty
>>
>>521079585
This is either bait or you're a genuine moron
>>
>>521083305
not at all, every other car around here is a tesla, the speed limits are higher than yours, traffic cameras sure but they're not hard to avoid and show up on your gps, the ulez cameras all got cut down and only the suburbs have shitty narrow streets.
>>
>>521081469
>We buy oil from sandniggers cause there's no other option otherwise we wouldve done it a long time ago.
Wrong. Nuclear obviously works but the oil lobby and petrodollar prevented this.
>ships and planes
I never mentioned either.
>and how many solar panels you'd need to get even a fraction of that
You don't even need to cover your entire roof in PVs and it's enough to power all of your energy needs.
>>
I like them. I've liked them (or the idea of them) for longer than most of this board has even been alive. Electric cars aren't political, they're just neat.
>>
>>521085372
>Electric cars aren't political
They're only competitive because of tax credits.
