It’s a gamble. The industry can’t fail and upset the owners of the Republican Party that they bought the government and then the government just turned around and create competition for them. It can succeed but there’s no guarantee that the money made by the hemp industry will end up back in the coffers of the Republican Party. The safest bet is to just protect the status quo and smother the hemp industry in its crib.
