Beef cows are still profitable. Pecan orchards are still profitable. Honestly when it comes my time to make the decisions I will consider putting a couple hundred acres of dryland in pecans most likely and continue to rent out the center pivot. Long term it just makes more sense. The only reason it's a hard decision to make is you could have a hurricane blow up the gulf and wipe the pecans out completely.
