agreements with russia are worth less than the paper they are written on
only relative strength matter when dealing with these worthless bucket-crab monkies

Timeline:
>1991 USSR empire dies
>RF accepted independent UA
>1991 borders overwhelmingly affirmed nationwide referendum
note: there's no armed conflict
>1994-12-05: RF signs Budapest Memorandum
UA gives all nukes and some other hardware to RF
RF guarantee security & territorial integrity of UA
co-signed by UK&USA
>2014-02-20: broke memorandum by invading UA Crimea
note: technically RF broke already by 2000 Tuzla island landgrab
RF also signed and broke:
>2014-09-05: Minsk I agreements/cease fire
>2014-09-28: Minsk I by attacking the Donetsk airport
>2015-02-12: Minks II agreements/cease fire
>Following the separatist victory at Donetsk International Airport in defiance of the Protocol, DPR spokesman Eduard Basurin said that "the Minsk Memorandum will not be considered in the form it was adopted".
>Later in the day, DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko said that the DPR "will not make any attempts at ceasefire talks any more", and that his forces were going to "attack right up to the borders of Donetsk region".
>2015-02-12: Minsk II continuing fire on Ukrainian positions in debaltseve
>Implement Minsk agreement
>Separatists continued a heavy assault on Debaltseve. Both sides said that they would not withdraw heavy weaponry as specified by the agreement whilst fighting in Debaltseve was ongoing.
>Ukrainian forces were forced to retreat from Debaltseve on 18 February, leaving separatist forces in control of the city.
>2022-02-24: all treaties by invading UA full-scale
note: even until RF invaded UA 2022, the govt was open to "diplomacy" or "Minsk III"

Conclusion:
UA=independent of RF
Plenty "diplomacy" was tried.
RF=no credible partner - only lies and backstabs
Many do not understand this truth about Russia.

Ukraine is right and russia must die/be deterred by death and destruction

Summarizing for other anons:

+++NEPTUNE R-360+++
range:-------280Km (1000km for longboi)
warhead: --150Kg (260Kg for longboi)
speed:-------subsonic (so less than 1234Km/h not very helpful statement)

+++Flamingo +++
range:------- 3000km (only when slow, probably)
warhead: -- 1150Kg (impressyiv)
speed:------- 850Km/h (950Km/h terminal)
height:------- 5Km

I guess the big play is affordability of Flamingo?

Although, of course, ethnically we are all very similar and form one whole. But there was no such identity here.

>He's already backed down. The demands he won't back down from are most likely the return of influence in Ukraine, or at least the prospect of such a return, meaning no integration with NATO, etc.
Contrary to what imperialists would like to believe though, Ukraine does have agency of its own
And they might well just take the Poland route and say "No NATO, okay, I'll go for Nukes then" through back-channels
Even idiotic "escalation managers" understand this
The economic impacts do matter because you can only tax everything to a point
And even if the kremlin regime achieves some sort of concessions, their ability to hold onto that is far from guaranteed and seems exceptionally unlikely given how the previous actions (raise taxes, cut investments, direct everything into war economy, dont have good results for the people to show for it) will impact the views of both Ukrainians and russians, even ziggerussians on it

If we're talking about the Russian regions, yes. Because these are the people who will work and pay taxes. Pay for the army, and the nobility will serve in it themselves. It's absurd to destroy the foundation of one's own economy.

Finns were converted to Christianity in the 12th century, the same century Moscow was founded in. Yet you use this as your excuse for things you continued to do for centuries after?
You lie as easy as you breathe. You don't even need to think your lies through, they just come out and it doesn't matter if anyone believes you, just so long as you get to lie.
You are evil by nature and rejoice in doing all things that are wrong. You lie because it is wrong to lie. You steal because it is wrong to steal. You invade other countries because it's wrong to invade other countries.
I hope you all die.

I told you that I was talking this only about Russians.
If we're talking about a war between Russia and Sweden in non-Russian territories, then it's logical that Russia could have enslaved some people in lands it didn't claim or couldn't truly control. It's possible, but I haven't heard of it. Are you talking about the Russo-Swedish War of the late 16th and mid-17th centuries?

Yeah, man. The war isn't about influence, but about Putin's perception of that influence. I thought everyone figured that out by year four. He just wants to see reasons to think he has influence and that he's a tough guy who did something people his age and circles wanted 40 years ago. All those people have been dying for it all this time. If you can give him that feeling of influence, then just do it. That's what diplomacy is supposed to do. Unfortunately, Ukrainian diplomacy, unlike the army, is probably the worst in the history of the planet.
Or the war would have ended immediately if they'd simply said, "Yes, Pynia, everything will be as you ask. We won't be in NATO, and we'll even hang up posters in your honor and say a few words in Russian in our parliament, because we're bros again. Your bro can participate in politics again and start a party. But we'll still have our army and control over the state. That's a trivial matter, right? We're even prepared to some cut it, but if suddenly several hundred combines, which look a lot like tanks, were added to our army's roster, you wouldn't be offended, would you?The main thing is that we're bros again, dude."

Ukraine, Russia agree to revive Istanbul talks for swap of 1,200 prisoners

Ukraine and Russia have agreed to reactivate the "Istanbul mechanism" to facilitate a major exchange of 1,200 prisoners of war, Ukraine’s security chief said on Sunday, signalling a new phase in diplomatic engagements mediated by Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) and head of the negotiation group, announced that technical consultations would begin immediately. The initiative, directed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, aims to secure the release of captives before the upcoming holiday season.
"As a result of these negotiations, the parties agreed to activate the Istanbul agreements. We are talking about the release of 1,200 Ukrainians," Umerov said in a statement, adding that the process is moving "without pauses" to ensure returnees are home for Christmas and New Year.
While Umerov confirmed the framework agreement, he did not specify a date for the next face-to-face meeting of delegations.
The announcement follows signals from Moscow indicating a willingness to re-engage. Alexey Polishchuk, a senior official at the Russian Foreign Ministry, recently affirmed that the Kremlin is prepared to resume talks in Istanbul.
Direct diplomatic contact between the two warring nations, which had been frozen since the early months of the conflict in 2022, was quietly re-established in Istanbul on May 16, 2025. Those talks continued through several rounds over the summer, primarily focusing on humanitarian issues, before pausing in August.

Organiser of sanctioned tax protest detained in Siberia ahead of rally

Police in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk detained a political activist on Saturday, one day before a sanctioned rally he organised to protest planned increases to Russia's recycling fee and value-added tax (VAT).
Sergei Krupenko, a co-founder of the Russian Communist Party (Internationalists), was arrested in the entryway of his apartment building, according to his lawyer and party statements. The approved protest was scheduled for Sunday, November 16, in a city park.
Authorities reportedly charged Krupenko with organising an unsanctioned public event in connection with a flower-laying ceremony on November 7 to mark the anniversary of the October Revolution. Another rally organiser, Oleg Metsler, was also detained on November 7 and has been summoned to appear before the police on Sunday.
Despite the pressure on its organisers, the party stated the sanctioned rally against the tax hikes would proceed as planned. The protest is against government plans to raise VAT from 20% to 22% and increase the unpopular "recycling fee," which broadly affects the cost of vehicles.

From 2014-2022 they did exactly this "yes jewtin, everything will be as you ask"
Ukraine wasn't going to be in NATO due to the territorial conflict russia started in Ukriane
The kremlin attacked nonetheless
You are trying to attach a kind of rationality in the decision-making for this retarded war that just isn't there in the way you represent it
The bully has to get his face kicked in eventually, it really is that simple
Appeasement politics fails every time it's tried
Ukraine will either procure Nukes or get into NATO and threaten russia with annihilation as it has threatened Ukraine
Or they will perish as an independent political entity
And they know this, so don't act so self-assured

Just as Putin fights for a sense of influence, you fight not for a sense of defeat. What matters is not the perception, but the reality. If you hang posters in his honor, grant the Russian language some status in a couple of your regional centers (except, perhaps, the capital), allow Putin's bros to form their own parties and conduct party campaigns, and, naturally, renounce your claims to the already annexed and de facto controlled territories, but at the same time preserve the state and the army, and most importantly, your population, demographics, and nation, while they are not yet completely doomed, then that will be a victory. The destruction of your demographics will be a true defeat, after which your nation will simply physically cease to exist. If your nation survives and continues to exist, then you have won by evolutionary logic. That's all that matters.

So yeah, as far as Ukrainians are concerned you're saying "lose to win"
If one has a slave mentality that might be considered a win but Ukrainians don't currently have a slave mentality
And Ukrainians wish to remain an independent political entity

She fell out of his control. He tried to use Donbas as leverage against Ukraine. All this time, he wanted Donbas to be part of Ukraine, but at the same time controlled by his people, who would vote in parliament the way he wanted, so he could feel his influence. And the most crucial point wasn't even Donbas, but the pro-Russian Ukrainian party his brother founded. It became the second most popular in the country and was on track to become the first, after which its existence was declared illegal and dispersed. This was the main trigger.
Google Medvedchuk
Believe me when I say that this is entirely a matter of Putin's sense of his influence in Ukraine, because he's obsessed with the idea of the destructiveness of the rift between these countries after the USSR. This is the sole reason for all this. It's 100% true

I'm telling you, Putin only wants a sense of influence, not actual, complete control. Look at his bro Lukashenko. Putin's propaganda convinces Russians that the current war is a war for our very existence. And ask yourself, where is his bro Lukashenko and his army in this war, the most important one for Putin? Why aren't Belarusians participating in the bloody assaults on your cities? Hmm? Because Putin doesn't control them. All he wants is to feel like he has influence there. And in that case, Ukraine would have far less Putin influence than Belarus.

No, I don't infact believe you.
The goal of this war is to eradicate Ukraine as an independent political entity.
Repeating that Ukraine should just give up it's sovereignty to "win" is inane.
This war will stop when the kremlin regime is forced to stop it and when the cost of continuing is worse than stopping.
Russia is a personalist dictatorship but it is not just substantiated by putins delusions and perceptions.
It doesn't exist in a vacuum and will be made to feel this fact.

No. It's a feeling that Ukraine is dependent on him. But not a real dependence. God, he just wants to smooth over the effects of the USSR's collapse, to feel like he's somehow connecting these lands again. He wants to feel it, not actually know it. Belarus is independent, but Putin is happy with it. It was a similar story with the USSR and Finland after World War II. The Soviets simply wanted to feel that Finland was theirs, and Finland gave them that feeling. That was enough. And where is Finland now? They're doing just fine. They didn't destroy their entire demographics just so the shitty dictators next door wouldn't feel like they had influence in their country.

As long as the war continues, Ukraine is losing its demographics and its chances of truly continuing to exist. As a people, as individuals, as a physical population that won't be so small that it can be completely replaced by migrants in a couple of years. Putin has trillions of dollars and hundreds of millions of people under his command; he will never have a shortage of money or people. Any blows to the economy will simply raise taxes. The population will never rebel, as it is completely disorganized, atomized, controlled, and intimidated by the authorities.
And all this is being done only for the sake of a sense of influence in a neighboring country.

Putin's a liar, yes. Everyone's always known it. And everyone's always known he's fucking obsessed with Ukraine and Ukraine and Russia being allies and connected, not torn apart. He's been talking about it nonstop for 20 years, ever since he became president. Just give it to this guy, put up a big poster with the words "Thank you, Putin" in the center of your capital, let his brother start a party, and he'll back off. Maybe. A great price to pay for your people not being physically demographically destroyed as a population.
But I understand that nothing depends on you, just as nothing depends on us. I don't know why I'm writing this. I haven't been here for a long time, and for some reason I felt like saying all this. None of my words matter, of course, and they won't change anything.

I'm not talking about myself, although I certainly didn't want this breakup either, which, unfortunately, has already happened. As a child, I lived in Kharkiv in summer with my grandparents; my mother was born and raised there; her parents were immigrants from the Belgorod region.
I'm talking about the feeling that drives Putin and that part of the elite who share these convictions not out of fear, but sincerely. And about the feeling that needs to be given to him. Just as Finland gave this to the Soviet Union, although in fact, they were already terribly torn apart by the Winter War, and this rift remains to this day.
For me, the only thing that matters is that Ukraine physically survives as a Slavic population. Who will influence whom is a question for the authorities, not ordinary people.

putin won't get to dictate Ukraine
It's that simple
Ukrainians have had enough of that botox monkey
You may endlessly submit to him but this isn't how Ukrainians think
They do not have this slave mentality
The fact you try to drag the soviet empires war against Finland into this same wishy-washy "feel they have control" is a dead giveaway you don't know shit
The soviet empire made a pact with the nazis to split up direct control over areas of Europe and draw up occupation territory lines before 1939
Then as now this is about direct control
There is no substantive difference between "xaxa yuo are of independent but kremliniggers are basically still in charge" and "xaxaxa yuo of lose"
The goal of this war is to erdicate Ukraine as a political entity, not this "perception" sophistry you put forth
And especially after all the misery the kremlin regime put Georgia, Poland, Belarus and other places through historically and contemporaneously Ukrainians just wont be having it

No one cares about it. But people are dying because of his feelings, It's all because of it. Finland deports Wagner mercenary and Kremlin critic back to Russia

Finnish authorities have deported a former Wagner mercenary with a lengthy criminal record back to Russia after his asylum application was rejected, officials have confirmed.
The man, identified as Zhaslan Mustakhanov, also known as Yevgeny Shpartun, was handed over to Russian authorities at the Niirala border crossing in North Karelia on Friday. Mustakhanov, who used the call sign "Kanello," illegally crossed into Finland near the town of Kitee in the summer of 2025 and applied for political asylum.
"The Finnish Migration Service found no grounds for granting asylum," said Mikko Kallinen, deputy chief of the local border guard service.
Mustakhanov, a native of Omsk, has at least seven prior convictions in Russia for crimes including theft and robbery. He joined Russian forces in 2022 and fought in high-profile battles, including for the city of Bakhmut.
After fighting with the 433rd Motorised Rifle Regiment in Ukraine's Donetsk region, he disappeared from the front in late 2024. He resurfaced in February 2025 with a video sharply criticising Russia's military leadership.
On June 30, by which time he was already in Finnish custody, he released a more scathing video accusing his commanders of "treason" and leaving soldiers to "rot in the fields."

Major internet outage hits four central Russian regions after cable damage

A major outage of fixed-line internet and television services from state-controlled provider Rostelecom affected four regions in central Russia on Saturday, with the company blaming damage to a backbone fibre-optic cable.
The service disruption, which began on the afternoon of November 15, impacted customers in the Yaroslavl, Ivanovo, Kostroma, and Vladimir regions. In a statement, Rostelecom attributed the failure to an "accident caused by the fault of third parties" that damaged a main cable line in the Yaroslavl region.
The company's press service announced that repair work was underway and that service would be restored by the end of the day. Indeed, some customers began reporting that their connections were back online late Saturday evening. By Sunday, the company confirmed that the damage had been fully repaired.
The outage was particularly acute in the Vladimir region, where mobile internet services have already been restricted since August, making residents more dependent on wired connections. The disruption also notably interrupted the broadcast of a Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) game in Yaroslavl between the local Lokomotiv team and Barys from Astana.

They are being used against Ukraine and they are annexed, not just vassal, like Ukraine he wants. This isn't about annexation and actual control, as Putin did at the start of the war. It's about establishing control, as with Belarus, only in an even more lenient form. Apparently, he's even agreed not to deploy military bases so far.
You have a living example of what he wants right before your eyes. This is Belarus. Their leader says he's Putin's bro, but in reality, he's an independent ruler and doesn't do everything Putin would want from the authorities he completely controls (like, for example, the regional authorities in Russia). Belarusians aren't involved in the meatwaves. Their leader simply says he's Putin's bro, and that's enough.
There are only three truly important things you shouldn't concede, but Putin has already agreed to them.
Preserving the army is the most important thing. Maintaining formal independence. And preserving the privileged status of the Ukrainian language. You only need to grant regional status to the Russian language in a few cities for Putin to decide his conditions are met, but, for example, not grant it in the capital to preserve the privileged status of Ukrainian.

US Demands Full Russian Divestment from Serbia's NIS to Lift Sanctions

The United States has demanded the complete withdrawal of Russian shareholders from Serbia's largest oil and gas company, Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS), as a condition for lifting sanctions, according to Serbian Energy Minister Dubravka Djedovic-Handanovich. The ultimatum puts Belgrade in a difficult position as it seeks to ensure the country's energy security.
"The US administration has for the first time clearly and unequivocally stated—and put in writing—that it wants a complete change in the ownership held by Russian shareholders," Djedovic-Handanovich told reporters. She added that Washington rejected proposals for a simple change in management and had given Belgrade until February 13, 2026, to negotiate the ownership transfer, but did not authorise NIS to continue operations in the interim.
US sanctions against NIS, which is majority-owned by Russian energy giants Gazprom Neft and Gazprom, formally took effect on October 9 after several delays. Gazprom Neft holds a 44.85% stake in the company, while its parent, Gazprom, holds 11.3%. The Serbian state owns 29.87%.
The Serbian government is now facing "extremely difficult decisions," including a potential state takeover of the company, a move President Aleksandar Vučić has previously opposed. The minister expressed hope that "Russian friends will understand the gravity of the situation" and cooperate on a solution.
Russian stakeholders have reportedly expressed readiness to transfer control of the company to a third party to resolve the impasse. NIS is a key economic asset, operating Serbia's main oil refinery in Pančevo and a network of over 400 fuel stations in the region.

Um, no? Poland has these borders solely because it was a vassal of the USSR. These are the borders the USSR granted it, along with a measure of economic and political independence, in exchange for complete loyalty, which allowed you to peacefully live through the second half of the twentieth century, gaining vast territories and preserving your population, leading to everything good you have today.
If there had been no one in Poland who would have agreed to such conditions and started an irreconcilable partisan war with the USSR in 1944, you would have been completely destroyed.
I love Poland very much and I am very glad that everything didn’t turn out that way.

>Interruptions with wired Internet began in Russia

>Residents of more than 10 regions of Russia complained about non-working wired Internet from Rostelecom. The problems began on November 15, as follows from data from Downdetector, Sboy.rf and VKontakte. The Internet disappeared in the Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions.

>The company clarified that the accident occurred “due to the fault of third parties.”In addition, the Internet disappeared in the Murmansk region, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and partly in Krasnodar Territory.

>At night and in the morning of November 16, users in Mari El, Udmurtia, Amur, Belgorod, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Pskov, Samara and Chelyabinsk regions also complained about problems with the Internet from Rostelecom.

>The nature of the failure indicates that it was not just a cable break, writes Digital Report. “Such selectivity of access – with the preservation of the “white list” – is one of the scenarios provided for by the law on the “sovereign Runet”. It is unclear whether the outage was the result of a failed exercise to “isolate” the network. a centralized team for filtering or a large-scale breakdown of TSPU equipment,”.

>Wired Internet failures began after Russian President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with members of the Security Council about “countering offenses, which are carried out using information and communication technologies.” The Kremlin did not provide details of this meeting. The speaker was the Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

>Shortly before this, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on “rules for the centralized management of the public communications network.” As a result, Roskomnadzor received the right to disconnect Runet from the world Internet and block sites if “threats to the stability, security and integrity” in the country arise. The response regulations will be coordinated with the Ministry of Digital Development and the FSB.

I understand this perfectly. On the one hand, you can believe in the good, that the war will end and give the people a chance to survive. On the other, you can disbelieve it, thinking that Putin will take total control of Ukraine and kill its population in a new war with NATO. And fight with him endlessly for it, destroying the remaining demographics. I don't know how it will turn out. But I see no point in disbelieving in the good and dying, though there's a chance of survival.
I mean, there's no risk here. Either you believe Putin will back off and you will survive, or you continue the war. None of their demands, even the most maximalist ones (which, naturally, need to be lowered during negotiations and they're willing to make numerical concessions), mention complete capitulation and annexation.

I said it poorly. I mean, you can believe in peace and survive. If Putin doesn't honor the peace terms, the war will simply continue as it is. If you believe in peace, you'll survive and get everything. If you don't believe in peace, you'll die and lose everything. I don't understand why anyone would choose the latter option.
I understand national pride, the desire of the authorities to retain complete control over their state, etc. But all this is irrelevant in the face of the death of the people.

Of course, but it didn't change anything. Germany conquered most of Poland, then Soviet troops entered Poland. The Polish command ordered its soldiers to surrender and not resist the Soviet command. It's a terrible shame that, in response to this, the criminal Stalin executed Polish prisoners of war before Germany's attack on the USSR. That was a grave crime. Nevertheless, the Polish authorities forgot this too and became vassals of the Soviet Union, and now everything is fine with them. I don't understand why you mentioned this.

No, if they had resisted, they would all have been destroyed. They decided not to resist and to become vassals, and that's why they're doing well now. Precisely because people were found who agreed to negotiate with Stalin and become his vassals as Poland's ruling elite. In return, Poland received many territories it had no chance of previously gaining because they were 100% German, whose German populations were forcibly deported under conditions bordering on genocidal. It's a shame Hitler didn't make peace sooner; in fact, I didn't want Germany to lose these lands.

Poland is doing well now because the soviet empire collapsed
Had it somehow not collapsed Poland would have been further immisserated as resources all get transferred and stolen to the imperial core
You speak of causality but in the end this outcome is incidental
Cogent resistance always ends up winning in the long run if it can be sustained
It was sustained with Poland because they had their identity and kept it going in spite of the soviet empires best efforts to eradicate it
It took 40 years as well
The fact that the soviet empire gave these territories to Poland was a ploy to further their hold on power through Poland.
That too was incidental and wasn't a result of Polish capitulation but soviet imperialism.
Push really does come to shove eventually and just like the soviet empire the second cancer that arose from it insists on pushing and pushing as well.
The only answer is to push back because demands will only ever increase as shown by hitler and stalin when they were not pushed back.

>thankfully the spirit of "fuck russki mir" persisted and hastened the collapse of that shithole
Thanks, truly. But this does not in any way cancel out all my earlier words.
While the Soviet authorities were strong and ruthless, you obeyed. When they became weak, you stopped. That was reasonable. What wasn't reasonable was to stop obeying the Russian Empire at the height of its power, despite enjoying a privileged position and extensive autonomy. A grave and completely unnecessary mistake. Although I understand that this is probably now something of a national myth.
