I had to run errands on the day after his death and then two days later. In other words twice in three days. Errands means Walmart, Target, a local chain supermarket, and the dollar store. I bullshit you not that in those days I saw 2 and 3 guys on each errand day who looked very threatening and oddly similar. White males, 40s, sunglasses, cap (not MAGA), very serious military way of looking and walking, and armed (I live in a state where you can carry). They looked seriously pissed, like they wanted someone to walk into them, like they were looking for a confrontation. I’m guessing, but it’s only a guess, that they were responding to Kirk’s death. Like they wanted some “libtard” to say something. But guess what? Most people were just going about their day. Of all the people I saw those two days literally 5 were among those who were outraged and probably ready to start a civil war about Kirk. 5 loonies. The rest of us knew it was just a bad thing, a not nice thing, like any other high profile death. If Trump dies before 2028 I think MAGA dies, or at least MAGA’s dominant status. Basically, Trump is a cult of personality and no one can replace him. And there might be a few over-emotional hot heads who get “locked and loaded” but most of us will just go on with our lives in a Trump-less world.
