What are the major four US cities
>>522043763LA, NYC, Chicago, Houston
>>522043763What a stupid fucking thread, but the answer is San Francisco or Miami
>>522043763At a guess? New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle.
>>522043960Seattle is like dollar store San Francisco
>>522043763By metro area/urban area, the largest cities in the US are NYC (which stretches from New Jersey to Connecticut) at 22 million, greater LA at 16.5 million, then Chicago and DC-Baltimore both around 9.5 million, the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose bay area at 9 million, Dallas-Ft. Worth and Boston-Providence at 8.5 million, Greater Houston at 7.5 million, then Greater Philadelphia and Greater Atlanta both around 7 million to round out the top 10.
>>522044000I might have picked San Francisco but I temporarily forgot it existed.
>>522043763I know in all of North America it was always these 4>LA, NYC, Toronto ChicagoSo we get rid of Toronto and the next big American city is Houston>LA, NYC, Chicago, Houston
>>522044138The entire Toronto metro area barely breaks a population of 7 million. The top ten US cities all mog that easily
>>522044228>The top ten US cities all mog that easilySource?
>>522044362out of this anon's ass >>522044020
I have been to 21 states in my life so far and I would say NYC, LA, Chicago and Houston by population (because it is).But when being there, I do think LA feels the biggest because everything is so melted together over there with the different counties and everything. LA seems a lot bigger because you drive and drive and drive (even tho you are no longer in LA). You can be in Santa Monica wich is not a part of LA city (but county), and same with Beverly hills and Torrance and so on.
>>522044537City borders are very arbitary. I grew up in Newport Beach which is about an hour's drive away from LA technically, but it is still part of Greater LA as far as I'm concerned. If you haven't seen any farms or fields the whole drive, you are in the same city.Houston is a big city no doubt about it, but it looks bigger on paper because that entire metro area was annexed by the city of Houston, except for Humble. Then you have the San Francisco Bay Area, where San Francisco itself is actually pretty small. But if you consider all of the continuous city running half the circumference of the bay it's the third biggest city by GDP in the US
>>522043763Seattle obviously>microsoft, nirvana, gabe newell, amazonnot that any of those cities are any good or can compare to moscow / st petersburg
>>522043763DFW for sure
>>522045000Sadly both those cities are full of Russians
>>522044020>Boston-ProvidenceI refuse to believe this is a thing. Philadelphia doesn't even include Trenton and somehow Providence and Boston are in the same MSA? Fuck outta here
>>522044228What? Toronto is fucking massive. If Boston includes providence then Toronto includes Hamilton.
>>522045624Here are Canada's 10 biggest urban areas according to Statistics Canada:>1. Toronto-Hamilton-Oshawa, Ontario: 8,449,004>2. Montréal, Quebec: 4,615,154>3. Vancouver-Abbotsford, British Columbia: 3,329,727>4. Calgary, Alberta: 1,778,881 >5. Ottawa-Gatineau, Ontario-Quebec: 1,660,269>6. Edmonton, Alberta: 1,631,614>7. Winnipeg, Manitoba: 941,641>8. Québec City, Quebec: 900,343>9. Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo-Guelph, Ontario: 879,641>10. London, Ontario: 626,260
