The current rally in the U.S. stock market is entirely driven by the AI bubble, and the company fueling this bubble is essentially NVIDIA.So when will the bubble burst?
>>522045405soon
>>522045405the million dollar question tbat could quickly bankrupt you market can stay irrational lomger than you can stay solvent etc.
no, nvidia makes money by selling chipsthey make money even if AI is a bust the real problem is openai
>>522046781yes but nvidia's stock price is far higher than the price you'd get from it's balance sheetthat extra amount is due to the speculation that ai will soon automate all white collar work and thus nvidia will have massive demand at some point. If it transpires that we have another ai winter to go through then nvidia's price will slump as investors face reality and pack up their lawn chair. This would lead to a massive market correction.
>>522045842Ironically, if the U.S. had allowed China to purchase Nvidia's AI GPUs, Nvidia wouldn't be facing inventory backlogs now.As a result of the AI ban, Huawei can now sell its own AI GPUs to Chinese companies. The U.S. has essentially forced Nvidia out of the Chinese market.
what doesn't make sense is:- people don't have jobs because AI- AI companies need revenue to justify retardedly high valuations- yet the more AI companies go higher, the more people are losing jobs because of AI which means even less being spent on AIit's the snake eating its own tail, it has to end at some point
>>522047253>soonHow soon are we talking? If it automates white collar, it should just completely automate the stock market, too? How will the world economy even function then? Will we just bite the bullet and go full globohomo then? Socialist utopia? What was the name of that matt damon movie where the elite just fucks off and makes their own planet and harvests what little resources are left on earth for virtually free? I think we're heading in that direction, aggressively.
>>522047764Nigga, February.
>>522047764well if blue collar work also got automated then all economies will be transformed into resource based economies. Because contemporary economies like this turn into dictatorships (due to incentives), i think western countries will also shift away from democracy. Perhaps very gradually, with periods of rapid deteriorarion due to random crises like pandemics the golden centuries where democracy is a stable politicoeconomic schema is coming to an endbut that's just an extrapolatio of current and historical patterns. Maybe post scarcity changes the game theory of politics
>>522047764>soonfew years ig
It can't burst. If the stock market crashes 10s of millions of Americans will die.
>>522045405Give it two more weeks.
>>522046781this is retarded. nvidia's stock price has openly been artificially boosted through round tripping. it's so well documented at this point that the crash is when not if.
>>522048280Good
>>522045405the bubble will not burst until the whole "buy and hold" mantra of the stock market falters which will be as the majority of stockholders are exiting in favor of safer investment products. So thats basically right now as boomers are getting out but they are trying to get as many rubes in the market to sop it up as possible to keep the collapse from becoming realized. They do anything to prop up stock prices like with buybacks
