I had to go up to the big boss and say look, I told you the entire team was taking responsibility for the idea but it’s my idea. You should at least recognise that and not say it was one particular persons idea. I realised later I did them a huge favor for something that should have cost them thousands of dollars. I gave it a very good name and it’s still branded that way today. Never do what I did. Never go beyond the call of duty for no reason.
