I'm rightfully paranoid all cameras are spying on their users without their informed consent. I don't trust new tech whatsoever, I assume the worst and stick by it. I'm on a android 8 device. Randomly all my bank apps are shutting down unless I install android 10 and one case Andis Andros android 11.
I got an old s7 galaxy in trying to port android 12 on. It's from a "A" model Samsung so in theory should give me my bank apps back...
I can't get it to work but I'm not willing to try it on my newer phone until I can. Fuck me

Smartphones are so fucking annoying to deal with; I don't want to upgrade from a dumbphone because it requires so much time to set up, and it's though the developers forgot the main purpose of the phone... which is to make fucking phonecalls.

It has instead become a device that tracks my locations, installs apps/bloatware I don't care for, takes photos/videos/sound and probably uploads them to MI5/government for surveillance purposes, but... it has become indispensable because the device is required for: 2FA

So I simultaneously want to smash this phone to pieces right now, but am held ransom because my bank decided that for security purposes I need 2FA.

Welp there goes my autonomy, don't you just love paying a subscription fee for a device that holds you ransom?
>>
>>522072341
I've grown lazy... the banking apps don't make me use the multi factor authentication and the web versions do.
It'd be one thing if I had stupid amounts of money but I'm just a poor wagie
>>
>>522072205
It requires a special permission and it cannot be granted on Android 10. USB OTG camera capability was introduced in 8 or 9, broken in 10, and fixed in 11. It was the #1 feature I was excited about when I upgraded from 7. I have an eyepiece camera for my telescope and I was looking forward to recording with my phone instead of a computer. As an Android dev I was already pissed about Google never fixing anything, but the fact that this was discovered in beta and not fixed was the last straw.

As someone who sat down and actually compared specs and prices a few months ago, a Motorola Stylus 2025 seems to be all you need. It's just strong enough that I can play RPGMaker and Visual Novel games on it, and I can use YouTube in the background. Even comes with a stylus I can use when my hands are covered in gloves or grease. It's also a large phone.

Anything I compared it to in the same ranges either Samsung or overall Android did not compare. I refuse to buy Apple, a phone with Chink software, or one of those Nothing British phones because I don't trust the British. Even my older model is damn good.

Back when the iphone first came out you could justify a new phone every 2 years because there would be something improved about it, now I have a s22 ultra and I couldn't even tell the difference between this and the s25 ultra other than it has "AI" whatever the fuck that means.
>>
Maybe in an age where moores law is dead and hardware improvements are more and more incremental that not actually improving things you can like battery life meaningfully and instead removing features and hardware and instead trying to sell AI bloat/spyware a lot of people don't want on their devices at all isn't actually a good idea if you want people to upgrade.

Yeah definitely, Apple got caught playing games with the batteries via software.
I have a 3 year old Motorolla Moto G stylus 5g, the battery still lasts for 4 days with little to no use, I just charge it from 20-80% and its lasted a long time.

>'LL HAVE YOU KNOW MY GRANDMOTHER WAS TURNED INTO A LAMPSHADE SO I DESERVE ALL OF YOUR MONEY CONSOOMING THINGS YOU DON'T NEED!
Um sweatie, it’s the Jew’s right to own everything and have goyim slaves. This is the prophecy in the Talmud.

Jews believe they are destined to own everything in the world and have the goyim as slaves. The Talmud prophecies state that this will occur when their messiah arrives. This is why they hate Jesus and Christians so much.

>The Jewish people taken collectively will themselves be their Messiah. Its reign over the Universe will be achieved by the unification of the other human races, the abolition of frontiers and monarchies, which are the bulwark of particularism, and the establishment of a Universal Republic which will recognize everywhere the rights of citizens to the Jews.
>In this new organization of Humanity, the sons of Israel, spread from now on over the whole surface of the globe, all of the same race and of the same traditional formation without, however, forming a distinct nationality, will become without opposition the leading element everywhere, especially if they succeed in imposing on the working masses the stable leadership of some of their number.

>The governments of the Nations forming the Universal Republic will all pass effortlessly into Israelite hands, thanks to the victory of the proletariat. Individual property can then be abolished by the rulers of the Judaic race who will administer the public fortune everywhere. In this way the promise of the Talmud will be fulfilled, that when the Times of the Messiah have come, the Jews will hold under their keys the property of all the peoples of the world.

> Baruch Lévy, in a letter to Karl Marx.

This is the only right answer. There are newer smartphone models with removable batteries, although you should use the oldest model you can tolerate but which still works on your network.

Remember, if you want to get the most out of it, pop the battery out at all times you are not actually using the phone. Also try to avoid having the battery in during parts of your routine, which can be triangulated and sold to Mossad to murder you.

Plus, with a removable battery, you can conduct stochastic countersemitism (series of pics related).

I have a 130 euro (barely missed a sale on it btw, it could've been cheaper) smartphone I bought early this year. 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, Android 14. Expandable storage through microsd card up to 1 TB.
Web browsing is smooth. High definition video playback is smooth. Social media crap works perfectly. Pictures are satisfactory.
Why would I spend many times that amount on a smartphone? I don't get it. Is it just for the sake of saying you have a high end phone?

And if user experience is already great on a low end phone, is it any wonder people don't feel the need to upgrade from their high end ones? If you bought an iPhone last year, what does the new one bring to the table that justifies a purchase?
>>
>>522078324
Sold out is a relative term.
They can predict sales and distribute accordingly. Just because a few people purchased somewhere unexpected doesn't mean overall sales are higher than expected.

You have to be in literal poverty if you can't afford to upgrade from a literal 4 year old iPhone 15 to the latest iPhone 17 model.

Most phone carriers have upgrade deals or payment plans I literally can't even. That's grim.

I prefer the newer one because the AI chip makes it run even faster, Siri has gotten a lot better and I can search for specific words in my text message history or text in a photo in my photo album. Plus since I'm hooked up to the cloud I can break my phone and get Apple care to replace it and I don't lose anything, even my cache and search history are backed up to the cloud its really fucking cool how far we have come

Android is really unusable for much since it doesn't implement directories - or rather it does but then undermines the whole purpose of directories by putting all your pics in the gallery program ignoring your directory structure. sure there's ways to hide directories but that gives you two; hidden and not hidden. Accumulate any significant number of memes and they are lost in a huge monolithic list. good luck finding them when you want to post them or keeping some safe from fat thumbs. This unusablity is actually a good thing because it continually reminds you not to use android for anything important.

They are making it harder and harder. They have unlock requirements and if you buy a old refurb phone they make you jump through hoops. Sometimes they want a receipt from original purchase. It's extremely cucked. In the EU you just buy a phone and then buy a sim card. In Ireland you can get full cell phone service without a name. You don't need to sign anything. You just walk in, buy a card, there is a simple portal you jump into by putting in your phone number and then paying money. You never need to attach any identifying information to your phone in any way and you can use other ways to pay.
You have no idea how much bullshit amerimutts have to jump through compared to the rest of the world. Even China has less corporate/gov bureaucracy.

Yah you setup better options and yes micro-sd cards can corrupt. A 15 dollar moveable storage for media is the simplest way for a normie or a bare minimum user.
The reason why phones are made with no mirco-sd slot is because they want you to pay for there media backup services or buy some music player shit and pay 15 bucks a month instead of just torrenting or copying shit from a PC. Globohomo's origin story:
>once upon a time the world has been peaceful and harmonious, then came along a snakeoil merchant
>the snakeoil merchant has sent ahead an ostensibly filthy-rich bait to a village
>the bait very publically flaunted his shinies and pitched worthless magic paper to the villagers
>the villagers sought out the snakeoil merchant, willing to trade their everything for worhless magic paper
>a week later, after realizing that its worthless magic paper they couldn't use anywhere else, they returned to the merchant to trade it back
>the snakeoil merchant told them that he would be a fool to trade back all the resources for the original prices, as there are so few resources in comparison to the volumes of worthless magic paper now in circulation
>villagers involved legal authority which told them to fuck off, because the trades were legal -- the merchant didn't lie, the bait did and the villagers didn't bother asking the merchant or reading the fineprint
>the snakeoil merchant showed "mercy" and allowed the villagers to burrow the resources against a fee and interest paid with the worthless magic paper
>[fast forward] the village is bankrupt and indebted, everyone's at each other throat having scammed each other out of their worthless magic paper to pay their own fees
>the merchant once again showed "mercy" and offered them a deal: if they assume the role of the bait and spread the good word of the worthless magic paper in other villages they'll be allowed to stay in their homes and toil their fields
>[fast forward] the merchant is now considered the sovereign, writing the laws and ruling over terminally indebted and blackmailed royality and common folk alike, all the while canonizing the most prolific baits as prophets and whatnot
>[fast forward] (You)'re here.

Money != currency. Money is a vacuous commodity and an irredemable liability, that is valueed in itself in roundabout ways -- through its supply controlled by a select few private hands and through the demand, created artificially (and in utter defiance of sound economy) by sophists that are paid with it. If you will the only real currency left is influence. It's the one thing that has enabled the many criminal industries to endure every conceivable crisis. Warmongers, child-traffickers, corrupt cleptocrats and so on, all sustain themselves on influence. Money is just the intermeditary between them and (You). Money isn't even physically printed or digitially generated (probably not even tabulated at all) anymore. It is merely 'assumed to exist' in the past(debt), the present(credit) and the future(interest) in whatever volumes necessary to incentivize, if not outright to control your behaviour. You are provided worthless magic paper, of which there always simultanousely exists too much, too little and none at all, in exchange for your labor, your sweat, your tears and your lifetime, and you pay interest with your future and your dignity -- while those who provide it to you still barter with goods, services and favors like mankind has done since time immemorial.
You are sold shoddily designed, terminally and purposely obsolescent devices and hyperprocessed, inedible slop that are produced at surplus and destined for a landfill. Corporations slash your wages, cut corners and work you into a burnout, because they run on loans, floating an inch above bankruptcy at all times, and have to scam you out of your loans to pay their own interest and debt. Just like you and everyone else, too, they are fighting an uphill battle against unconditional and non-negotiable "number go up!" and the incessant, albeit only proverbial at this point, BRR! of printers.

Resources are shuffled across the world in what amounts to supranational Communism, to fuel "national" Capitalism -- the consensus cracking apparatus that's selling you merchandize and bombards you with advertisments.

It's one grand pyramid scheme run by bait-people, who LARP as bureaucrats of incorporated labor camps, for their owners: snakeoil merchants.

Those who shill Crypto (or the "economic" theories of "Capitalism" and "Communism") are effectively shilling a solution that's none, to people who don't even know that they have a problem, whilst still being stuck in globohomo's convoluted cinematographic universe themselves.
There's no fixing a system whose foundation is rotten to its core. No matter what you may implement, unless you audit the banks and assign tardwranglers to the people running them, there's no hope for any theory -- much less another faux currency. There's not much of an economy left, anon.
People are selling problems and renting out metastizing shortterm solutions (smaller, dressed up problems). Why? Because the longer any given problem exists, the more interest and debt are generated. Imagine a world in which there existed durable, high quality devices and food that's not just nutritional blanks coated in industrial waste, and medicine that cures disease. How could you hope to keep up the illusion of value? How could you justify the abundance of worthless magic paper, if the shelves weren't full of garabage only produced to scam and bought due to constant suggestion and parasocial pressure.

People believe money to be valueable, because they believe it to represent the goods they buy with it -- in a sense they are correct: the bare minimally viable product that they have to get coerced to buy and use is a great representation. The past +300yrs of social misengineering and botched eugenics have successfully created a sub-species of mindlessly consuming drones to whom quality (need/purpose) is an utterly foreign concept.

In short: in order for you to be "outraged" about, for example, "tariffs", you have to be blissfully ignorant of the past 5yrs of reckless BRR!nting and blatant, yet legal fraud. In order for you to be "outraged" about the past 5yrs of reckless BRR!nting, you have to be blissfully ignorant of the past +120yrs of perpetual proxy war waged to expand the BRR!nting. In order for you to be "outraged" about the past +120yrs of perpetual proxy war, you have to be blissfully ignorant of the past +300 years of social misengineering and botched eugenics. (...).

Your "outrage" is performative and your helplessness is learned. You are suffering through a tried and tested protocol of pest control -- you and me, and most everyone around you are the pests.

Whenever the pyramid scheme of debt trembles under the weight of nepotism and plain incompetence, and debtcattle starts noticing the fraud and is threatening to revert back to agentic, sentient human beings, hunger, disease and war are rolled out in quick succession -- in some regions of the world, those lacking meaningful infrastructure and playthings, they are rolled out all at once. I digress.

People fundamentally do not understand the system that defines their lives. They react to stimuli like terminally domesticated debtcattle. Their contemplation and retrospection stops every single time at the
>I've been scammed!
it never progresses to
>Why did I believe the lies, why didn't I pay attention?

What do you propose people do? Serious question. The debt control system is very complete, I feel the most that people can do is not feed it, check out as much as possible and make them show their true nature when they force people back to oil at gunpoint. But that relies on everyone doing it and the problem is that there are only so many people intelligent enough to even see the system for what it is, and a large proportion of those will be more interested in positioning themselves to gain within it than ending it.

You can't even use old phones anymore because networks just stop supporting old bands. Even 4g is being phased out now. Trust me I've tried. The situation might be different for euros, I think they still have 3g.

I've had a Play and Power, and Stylus seems to be able to run all the RPGMaker and like I play. Power 2024 was almost strong enough but not quite. I work in an industry where my shit gets broken constantly, so I go through cheap phones. Either a Power 2024 (not 2025, they're weaker for some reason) or Stylus would be my pick.

>What do you propose people do?
1.) Quit being competitively obedient.
2.) Quit consuming, let alone paying, for propaganda.
3.) Quit buying garbage you don't need.
4.) Quit lying -- you lie everytime, even if unwittingly, when you regurgitate something with confidence but without conviction, that is: without questioning it.
5.) Quit indulging learned helplessness. Change your life and make a serious effort to fix your relationships and your local community -- you can't change the world at large, when you can't even fix it within your immediate sphere of influence.
6.) Quit being petty, malicious, reckless and spiteful. Don't let others dictate your behaviour, limit your reaction to necessity -- you have ample opportunity to escalate, but few to de-escalate.
>But that relies on everyone doing it and the problem is that there are only so many people intelligent enough to even see the system for what it is, and a large proportion of those will be more interested in positioning themselves to gain within it than ending it.
7.) Quit participating in the NPC consensus algorithm, majorities exist primarily in propaganda and your head. They are formed by self-emasculating regurgitation of lies in anticipation of backlash.

The system doesn't need to be the best there ever was, it doesn't even need to try -- it just needs you to believe it to be.

If I convinced two people that I know what I am doing, that I am perhaps even omniscient and omnipotent -- a god so to speak -- and those two went on to convince another two each, and so on?
How long would it take for the mind of the n-th recepients of the lie to be overwhelmed, peer pressured and bullied into accepting it?
>If so many believe it, it can't be a lie.
>If there's so much lore about it, it can't be a lie.
>Even if it is a lie, others will scorn me, b ecause they believe their lives are on the line.
>(...)

Globohomo is a pyramid scheme that started with a single empty promise:
>You'll receive a place in paradise under the condition that you'll lie whenever you open your mouth.
The faggot who agreed to it went on to recruit more people, lying whenever he opened his mouth. The first was promised immeasureable power, the second wealth. The third a purpose, the fourth a vision, the fifth a carrer, (...). With each iteration more conditions were added and others amended, but the first never removed. The n-th was told to work, not think. Obey and answer, not question.

In other words: there's a gap in that pyramid for a reason. It's one thing to lie and know it, it's another thing entirely to live the lie.

Imagine you've lied to a tribe of bush people for a week, pretending to be a god. Then, eventually, manned up and admitted that you are in fact just a regular human being toying around with some modern technology. Oh, the horror! No one is believing you. In the time you are holding your little apolegetic speech, your subjects are coming up with a myriad of theories. You wind up in a tent, tied up. The people around you are discussing the many "demons", "evil spirits" and whatnot that could have taken hold of you. Perhaps you're testing them? Anyways. They make up their mind: you need an excorcism. How that would look like? I don't know, neither do you or them -- no one has ever introduced any of it. That lie you've told has festered, developed a mind of its own inside their heads. You see, they just made it up on the go. And now, you're on the chopping block. They have good intentions, the best intentions. If they fail? Well, someone will become the "vessel of your divinity", or ...well, whatever. Your spirit lives on in the lie you've told. Canonically.

The architects of the Great Lie of Globohomo have either all perished already or are being purity checked by their victims (incl. their inbred, inept, nepotist, turbogay and terminally propagandized offspring).

I will replace my Galaxy J3 tomorrow but that's only because it's literally falling apart. Battery won't hold a charge anymore, screen has been cracked for 2 years and the power button on the side hasn't worked right since before COVID. I got my moneys worth from this thing. I intend to again.

It's a closed loop.
>spend +300yrs shaping the general masses in your image by means of social misengineering, botched eugenics and reckless usury
>"Why is everyone so retarded? We must shepherd them!"
The absolute worst demi-human turbofaggot you've ever met is but a surrogate of the so-called "elite". The difference between you and this surrogate is simply your (marginally) higher degree of freedom, from the pervasive suggestion and domestication, that you've earned by asking the most basic of questions.

There are four fundamental truths, that you'll eventually have to come to terms with:
>Whoever controls an environment invetiably shapes all therein in his own image.
>Good and Evil have tardwrangled Incompetence since time immemorial. Until Good tripped on the stairs, breaking its neck, and Evil fucked off innawoods shortly thereafter, exhausted and demoralized. Incompetence doesn't know when to stop.
>You can't hope to change the world at large, if you cannot even change your own life and improve your local community.
The forth is a bit more esoteric, but encapsulates the other three:
>The denial and rejection of Solipsism is a necessary and integral function of existence, preventing the collapse of the experiential domain.
Unless you make an en earnest effort to leverage your agency, you have no claim to peace, prosperity and happiness. You can't expect the boons and benefits of responsibility, without accepting its burdens. People around you ARE NOT irredemable, they ultimately CHOOSE TO BE -- as do you, judging by your defeatism.

Sure buddy, good luck with your revolution. The difference between you and me is likely that I'm just older and I've seen enough of people's shitty behavior that I know a large portion are simply greedy and irredeemable and very much aware and choose to believe they can benefit from the system and beggar their neighbor for a better life. They'd rather spend their life playing the rigged game than change it. All I can control is myself.

>Sure buddy, good luck with your revolution.
I am not suggesting that you wage bloody war out of a crowd of nameless, faceless, rootless strangers against a crowd of likewise nameless, faceless, rootless strangers, let alone any war. One one hand I am generally not fond of bloodshed and will avoid it unless absolutely necessary, on the other hand words have killed millions and billions of people throughout the ages -- sophistry paid by usury has instigated every single war of atleast the past +300yrs.
>All I can control is myself.
Yes, and I suggested that you do just that. Take charge of your own life, quit wasting time lamenting the actions of the average joe next door and instead spend that time improving your life -- leading by example, showing the people in your immediate sphere of influence that there is another way.

How long did it take you to snap out of the Einheitstrott and what has given you the necessary motivation and knowledge to do so? Have you been born infallible and omniscient? I doubt it. So you may extend your hand, where applicable and safe for you to do so, and repay the favor you've been granted by [someone] or [something], by helping someone else. If that merely requires you to stop being the absolute worst you can be (defeatist, petty, vengeful, spiteful, hopeless, demoralized, ...), it surely is not too much of an ask.

Unless [thing] is broken, there is no reason to replace it. The only exception are tools with new features that significantly improve their functions or reduce waste and wear, which in [current year] can be considered mythical contraceptions. Matter of fact if you were to replace old tools with the same models, you'd find most have been downgraded and aren't produced to remotely the same specs anymore, in spite of unchanged specifications and classification. I've had the last tool that broke on me, some +15yr old Makita electric drill, repaired for about its original price, because the replacement was so cheaply produced that I've returned it the same day.
