How are we supposed to "terraform" Mars when we cant even Terraform a desert into a livable region?
>>522073856we will never terraform itwe will never even colonize itit's all a scam
>>522073856terraforming rmars equires non-existent technologyterraforming a desert is possible, but very expensive. You have to pump desalinated water in.
>>522073856Just as environmentalists oppose any kind of environmental engineering, they will try to "preserve Mars" or some shit.
>>522073856nobody really thinks thats happening. a research base? sure. but terraforming is far far beyond anything possible now and for a long time to come.
Uum you might want to lookup the "greening the desert" projects.
>>522075020now do that when you've got to create the atmosphere from nothing.
>>522074298Why not?
>>522073856We've been terraforming deserts since at least the dawn of agriculture. We'll garden Mars, too.
>>522077306it's nothing more sci-fi porn for space fetishists
>>522073856Americans can’t even send astronauts to the moon.
elroy musk stopped talking about mars 5 years ago he doesnt wear the occupy mars shirtsthe kids got too old for him to keep talking about santa clausenow he's promising robots instead (which wont happen either)
>>522074428pumping water onto a desert just gives you wet sand for a monthif desert land could be made valuable then the literal trillionaires who live there would do it
>>522073856Stop thinking about this and give your tax money to Israel so they can lobby to bring infinite niggers west
>>522073856redpill me on advanced human tech that its kept secret (and eventually leaked) by govs
>>522073856China terraforms deserts, it just tries and it works
>>522078570cow dung
>>522073856AND you could just build ships and colonize Africa first before Mars
>>522078678No like surveillance ones, remember the tech that u have atm is old to them.
>>522073856China has terra formed like hundreds of miles of deserts
>>522078677Some of that is reclamation of recently expanded deserts. They plant stuff that keeps the dust from blowing.>>522073856It would take centuries to make it less unihabitable. But there is still no magnetosphere, everyone would have to live underground and it would suck. Cancer rates would be unsustainable in the long run. You would have to genetically splice cancer resistance genes from those water bear things into humans somehow and create a sub species for any permeant habitation.
