I spent years arguing with retards on a discord, had hours long stressful debates about whatever political bullshit of the day was going on. Finally broke free from that shit and looking back on it now I regret every moment wasted there. Not once did anyone on either side of the argument come to any understanding of the other side, no one walked away one ounce more convinced or had any change of heart about even the most trivial subject. Online debate and all political debate is completely pointless. You believe whatever you were told to believe when you grew up. Sometimes this can change if you are radicalized at college. But after that you are sealed into your worldview and it takes an act of God to change anything past that point. Find other things to fill your time, even watching anime or playing vidya would be more fulfilling. I only come here once or twice a day now just to see if there is any big news story. Getting in arguments on /pol/ is the biggest possible waste of time you could ever make.
