I live in the world capital of victim blamingBrazilians have many qualities, but they are probably the greatest victim-blamers in history. Basically, in Brazil, if you are ever caught or defeated, you are fucked. Brazilians are darwinistic to the core and seem to have a bias towards survivors and winners that is unbelievable. A christian country generally takes piety for the weak and the defeated, brazilians will squash you. Brazilians are hated in football for making obnoxious commemorations and being awful winners, where they feel the need to humiliate the losers. Recently 200 people died in a gang raid, and the reaction of the country (even parts of the left that do not care much about human rights) was saying 'skill issue', followed by finding reasons why the victims deserved it. The same goes to Bolsonaro, who has been tortured and humiliated in this country, so much that we even got sanctioned for this. This victim blaming is a problem because whenever the police, per example, stop the wrong person, they will waste hours trying to post hoc find a reason to get that person in trouble rather than just apologize and let them go. It is wasteful, especially because brazilian justice cannot be relied upon to administer justice.So, brazilians are merciless and darwinistic. How can we make them more humane?
