Some Brit that has been walking around the world since 1998 is going to be finishing soon. Swimming the English channel to end the trip in Britain.

What's his reaction going to be when he sees London lmao.
>>
Hahahaha lmao, ROFL even
Good one OP
>>
Think he'll take one look and keep on walking? Try to swim to Iceland?
>>

>pretty much misses the entire middle east and kept as north as possible while in that region, and never set a single foot in africa, south asia, and oceania/australia.
Top Kek

Looks like he knew just exact which shitholes he needed to avoid, to pull this off and not be a statistic.

As if he has heard nothing in all his world travels.
>>
>>522097067
Your fat scooter would die within a day.
>>

OP try and flesh out the story more, he was the first man in modern times to cross the bering strait. It should have taken him 7 years to return home, but the russians kept deporting him back to the states, and to make a statement he took a detour walking from LA to DC to contact the russian embassy. This was like 10 years ago. He's since swam the Caspian sea, and is now in Romania, he will arrive in England probably in september next year.
>>
>>522097067
It’s about 3 miles a day, much of it through the north american/russian wilderness too
>>
Man I would love to be there to see it.

Yeah, back in 1999, probably (as he started at Tierra del Fuego back in 97); when it was sustainably less dangerous on the human experience side, and he didn't really have to worry about paying off the roundabout-US-intel-agency-and-govt-sponsored face-peelers every couple miles or smuggling anything for them up his ass as the price to cross that, back then.

Don't take my posts as saying that what he did wasn't impressive or that it didn't take a lot of balls to do an inherently danger-filled challenge (it did, and I really respect him for it); but rather that he was pretty smart in his choice of route, and how he did it (and kinda jelly that he got to go through all the kino mountainous central Asian countries on the silk road and see a bunch of other cool historical/long distance trails like the CDT and portions of the trans-siberian).
>>
Seems almost heroic. Use your life to walk the globe.
>>
>>522096067
time travel is a helluva drug
I was in london in 1998 and it was a cool place
>>
>>522096067
Must be kinda weird, like walking through history. 9/11 hadn't even happened when he started. What did he do when covid hit?
>>
>>522101401
He was in Kazakhstan for 4 years he crossed the caspian sea only in 2024, so really only now has he been able to really finish the journey.

The next challenge is how is he going to cross the english channel without any transportation.
>>
>>522096067
He missed Africa
>>
>>522100383
This. Also his walk was more low-key back then. Nobody would have known who he was.
>>
>>522096393
He's going to be in for a shock when he returns.
>>
how does it take you 27 years? my mate walked from baku back to here already and he started in april

does this man have one leg?
>>
>>522096067
I place a $100 bet that he get stabbed to death when he gets home.
>>
>>522103409
Bro was like a movie star when he started, he's got pictures of him in Peru with schoolgirls, you can tell they were soaking.
>>
>>522096067
>What's his reaction going to be when he sees London lmao.

I bet he is pretty stoked after swimming canal when first thing is optional iPhone or Samsung straight on the beach, instructions how to get government funded credit card and free housing in 4 star hotel.
>>
>>522103734
He's from Hull, imagine walking north from the southern coastline and experiencing the 2020s for the first time, he'd have to be masochistic to walk through London.
>>
>>522099467
That's pretty low even considering difficult terrain. He has to be stopping and working occasionally.
>>
>>522103708
Don't worry he completely avoided any areas of America filled with brown people, and also Africa.
>>
>>522101401
Started with crt ended with smartphones
>>
>>522096067
Walking around the Equator at 10 miles a day will take only 7 years, what was the MFer doing all that time?
>>
>>522104565
stupid nigger i already explained.
>>
His first step back on land will be in jeet shit.
