It should have taken him 7 years to return home, but the russians kept deporting him back to the states, and to make a statement he took a detour walking from LA to DC to contact the russian embassy. This was like 10 years ago. He's since swam the Caspian sea, and is now in Romania, he will arrive in England probably in september next year.
