Everyone learned you were paying money for an entry in a database with a gui frontend to show what was behind the link if anyone clicks it.

You were paying money for a link to activate on a button press, on a website. And everyone finally figured out that that is only worth maybe a hundreth of a penny at most? Maybe a penny in outlandish forms if everyone is clicking on your link? But certainly not worth thousands or millions of dollars.

So it's a tulip bulb mania. The bulbs are worth about 3 minutes worth of median labor. The dummy who paid 800 dollars for a cup of thin air realized all he had was the cup, and couldn't find a new buyer.

NFT's are like CDS Credit default swap Tranches. It's a painting that sells for 870 billion dollars to help two dude do a tax evasion and launder money overseas.

This board ape is now trades for 0.0000001 US Dollar, or said another way, it is bought in bulk by people who bought the website with all the button onPresses() functions, and those who refused to sell at these prices get nothing or have it torn out of their hands because boardape.com website doesn't go anywhere anymore.

NFT's was a tulip bulb mania, but with the added mindfuckery that there was no tulip, and there is no bulb, and there isn't even a photograph to go with it, it was an onClick() function in a server somewhere that was deleted, and whatever value you gave to it, went away. Or said another way, it was never there, and the people paying, were only paying because people were paying, because Jews were selling moonshine and ran off with millions in profits.

Yea if your NFT doesn't have some kind of function then it's fucking pointless. If it generates you daily income then its fucking based.

They went down in value, so they are now a buying opportunity!
Where can I buy one of those Red Panel NFTs?

This has to be the most hilarious and stupid thing I've heard of in half a century. Who the fuck bought monkey pics that take 5 seconds to make for any money at all haha. What the fuck world am I in? I can't believe this ever gained any traction. Money for a cartoon Pic. Jesus christ.

NFT's will resurge eventually under the form of game skins and tradeables, like CSGO skins. The first instalments of these proto-NFT skins will be worth a lot of cash

This, it was (((their))) plan to make us waste our monies with digital shit, instead of physical. You vill own nothing etc.
>>
>>522098634
No one genuinely cared about the picture. It was a get rich quick scheme
>>
>>522100379
you obviously don't know how NFTs (ethereum tokens) work. You literally own them, in your wallet. The in-game demonstration is associated to the token ownership in your ethereum wallet.
>>
>>522100539

utterly useless when the platform that uses the 'skin/unique item' no longer works. Your 'token' in your 'wallet' has had all it's value stolen, no-one accepts that currency any more, it is useless and therefore of no 'value'.
>>
>>522100539
This is extremely appealing in a future where these skins and tradeables progress from game to game, where you will eventually not have various games, but just 1 game with thousands of variances. There was a movie that sort of illustrated this (ready player one), making it a modular experience. When I say games, I can also say remote jobs, etc..

NFTs as they were traded are mostly a joke, but I really resent how every broke ass normalfag watches one TikTok/YouTube video and becomes an expert on any given subject, spamming jargon like "tulip mania" ad nauseum. Hate normalfags, simple as.

NFTs were great for some because they were a means by which to steal money from people like this poster
>>
>>522098111
>NFT bros transitioned into AI trannies.
What do they actually do, though?
>>
>>522100883
>no longer works
it can be decentralized, just like the NFT/token, so it will always work
>>
>>522098013

Most people have the Tulip bulb mania story totally wrong. Tulip bulbs were one of the earliest examples of a 'futures' trade market. When it toppled it didn't bring down the Dutch economy and the few people who got left holding the bad were the richest traders. The rest of the Dutch market was just fine and carried on regardless.

The South Sea bubble on the other hand ...

Nothing worth it yet. The only NFT's I own are cryptostamps

Tell that to Nintendo or World of Warcraft. Game companies will not allow thier IP or Code to be exploited by others. When they shut down the servers they want users to move onto thier new product. Nintendo shut down Github repos's and servers running or distributing thier code. Warcraft shut down most if not all the old code servers run by fans. Do you really think bootleg Fortnight servers will be allowed to stay up?

>Tell that to Nintendo or World of Warcraft. Game companies will not allow thier IP or Code to be exploited by others.
why would I do that? not my problem if they don't implement this, some people have and will, others won't. I predict it won't really catch on for gaming to the masses, at least not in the very short term, but it's useful for finance. These threads are terrible, idk why nobody here goes beyond very surface level, tiktok video-tier talking points
