Did you know that the average length of home ownership in America is 12 years? I just thought that was interesting.

After paying the house off, the wifey usually takes it in a divorce which greatly benefits lawyers and banks. If not, unsecured loans will eventually just implode anways.

I just bought a home, paid whole thing in cash. Older home in smaller town.
Now I'm wondering wtf I'm going to when they decide its worth a million dollars in 10 years. Property tax will be like 10k a month. The thought I can pass it to my kids is laughable and kind of heartbreaking

Best I can do is wait until I'm priced out of property tax and then rent it out.
