Why do people pretend Russia's economy is terrible? It has a GDP per capita (PPP) of 49,000$, which is only slightly lower than Poland, at 55,000$. It's the fourth largest economy in the world by PPP as well. Just because the Ruble has a bad exchange rate against the dollar doesn't mean their economy is nonexistent.
